I still haven't read but isn't the girl with the larger bow drawn with a much more squared off chest? Smaller is one thing but the shirt contours behind the bow would barely work out for a Male Bodybuilders pectorals.

Something about Sinji in the picture was off for me, and it took me a while to figure it out.
Sinji's head is smaller than the others. I know in the plot that Sinji is supposed to be younger. But the truth is the human skull is at it's full size and the bones have fused well before you hit puberty. Sinji's head should probably be about the same size as the others.
