There's allot coming in this chapter. I can already tell. It's a really cute start. Any chance of Ranma getting a peek at Yosho without his disguise?

Sadly, Ranma won't end up catching a peek of Yosho's real form.

I have to work on figuring out how else I'll go about on the Jurai royal family meeting. I have bits and pieces of ideas, but I'm still thinking things up.

You could always use the King of Jurai's comment near the end that never seemed to have anything come of it in the animated episodes. I mean he does say something to the effect of ((Trying to get the quote right)) "Tenchi don't even think I've given up. This is just the beginning"

I can't find anywhere, animated anyway, where he did something else about his daughters living in the Masaki home. Or to make an engagement for Ayeka.

Arggg! The deadly cuteness rays, the little second stage catgirl with involuntary mind control attacks like Purr and Tears. :-)

Well a loose time line would have it so Ryoko got face planted into walls twice maybe some venting from that out of view of the Royals could be included?

There's also a question of what was being done in the Kitchen cooking or cleaning? Either way it can give something else to fill in the house events along with offering Tea or other refreshments. Maybe Washu-chan could have an appearance in the house avoiding introductions to Misaki seeing her already obsessing over Ryo-Ohki's other form. After all it wasn't shown when Ryo-Ohki shifted. Who knows it might be enough to get Ranma-chan a way to get out... Or you could just wait till Tenchi shows up to take her into other parts of the episode.

If they spent more time on the visit there could be more places where people weren't together that could be used more creatively in unseen divergences without making too many changes. That is unless you want to change it.

Edit: If Ranma does get to duck out with Washu-chan then there's a chance she could be on the stairs and then be up at the Shrine before the Dual. That way you wouldn't have her just there for retelling allot of the events at the dock.

Edit again: It helps that they don't leave 'til sunset so you have time to work with after Mihoshi lands.

Arggg! The deadly cuteness rays, the little second stage catgirl with involuntary mind control attacks like Purr and Tears.

You know, during those early years, it would actually make sense for Ranma to end up developing a technique centered around those very tears to distract an opponent.

With her physical abilities almost non-existent, her magical ability in the beginning stages, and her Masu abilities being rather limited and erratic, Ranma could very well decide to create a semi-style centering around distracting the opponent via staged crying, big shiny eyes, faux-shyness, and various other distracting techniques.

During this time, Ranma could also start to become comfortable with figuring out the extent of her 'claws'. With the foe distracted, she could then bring out those razor-sharp natural weapons and proceed to use them as a scratching post.

After-all, the Anything Goes is about using whatever you can to get the job done. Even though she may -- at two-years-old -- hate her cat side, she would still feel the need to figure out and use whatever she can.

Spokavriel: I think I like that idea of Ranma ducking out with Washu and heading towards the Shrine. On the way, she could have a short meeting with Funaho.

Edit: One thing I was thinking was that Seiryo -- the pink-haired guy -- ends up getting enraged over losing to an 'Earthling' and starts blabbing at the mouth. Ranma gets tired of his babbling and ends up creating a fireball that fries Seiryo and sends him back into the water. Needless-to-say, Ranma would find what she did to be rather awesome.

It may be a bit early for wandless magic without some strong backlash. True a small fireball isn't much beyond what has already been shown but you did point out how quickly the Mana was used up. I could see a good place for some side effects followed by Washu giving a lecture on over doing things. Maybe even give Lina her first collar so Washu-chan can monitor her and make certain she doesn't exceed her abilities dangerously until after it is clear she has learned her limits and Washu knows better how they grow.

At the moment, Ranma's magic reserves allow her to safely cast one fireball and a levitation spell. Two fireballs would be pushing it. The Dragon Slave that nearly killed her was beyond what she should have been able to do and survive. In fact, if it wasn't for Washu, Ranma would have been dead.

Because she used up a little of her magic in creating that small flame out of boredom, the normal fireball spell that she'd cast on Seiryo would nearly deplete her and cause her hair and fur color to turn bleach white.

That would then lead to that idea of Washu berating Ranma for her recklessness before placing a monitor collar onto her.

Very good! Found one issue, paragraphs 2 and 3 seems to give too much redundant information. Had to reread them to check that you just hadn't forgot to remove an old version.
I would recommend that you either remove from paragraph 2 this:

However, while the cat-girl did have the mind of a teenager, her current age often had a side-effect on her mentality, and there’d be moments when she digressed into a more childish behavior usually associated with a two-year-old.

or from paragraph 3 this:
While Ranma had the mental knowledge and experience of a teenager, she had the body and brain chemistry of that of a young child.

Second, do you have any plans of having Ranma meet Lady Seto later on?

That is a good question. Will you cover the OVA 3 time loop or try to find a way to avoid it?

CJN: Yeah, I added the third to fifth paragraphs later on, so that's probably why it repeats much the same thing in the second and third paragraphs. Thanks for pointing that out.

I have been planning for the events of OVA 3 to happen as well, and that would allow for Ranma to end up meeting Seto, Airi, and a few others including Tokimi.

That time loop is -- technically -- part of the story. Since at the end of episode 19, you see that it'll happen anyway.

An interesting scenario would be when Yosho/Katsuhito and Nobuyuki tell how Kiyone died at 284 of old age. Ranma -- rather confused -- interrupts and questions it.

Tenchi Muyo GXP will get some mention within this story as well. That'll be about a year in the timeline though, since GXP takes place a year after the events at the end of the third OVA.

Then you might want to introduce the unlucky son of the shop owners. He has been in town his whole life and a near neighbor to the Masaki shrine.

Bad Luck has so many ways that it can be played with. And Ranma should be enough of a Chaos Magnet still to get mixed up in something because of it.

I just got finished watching episode 17 of GXP. It was the episode where Seina visits Tenchi and the others, and shows that the Masaki home residents are well acquainted with Seina -- except Washu and Mihoshi, who Seina had never met before then. Tenchi and Katsuhito even make several jokes about his bad luck problem. XD

I can actually see Ranma being a victim of some of Seina's bad luck.
