Anime Series that include Martial Arts Classes.

I have a bit of a fic idea that I can't quite shake but I don't know if there are enough resources to do it. So to help I'm wondering which anime that take place around the 80's and 90's have sequences or episodes that include classes in Martial arts that are not exclusive to the main characters?

Like the Sailor Moon episode where Rei's Grandfather starts the self defense classes.

So long as it is something where students would be allowed to join in I'd like to hear about it and get at least the full title of the series.

The idea not yet ready for the Ideas thread would involve trying to work those classes into Ranma's training trip with Genma. So long as they stay close enough in time there may even be a chance to make it so that the fic could continue with Ranma getting re-involved later in those series events. Or, more likely, characters from the conclusions of those series showing up altering Ranma's events. But without finding the series I can't even figure out if there's enough for a plot.

History's Greatest Disciple Kenichi has the main Ryozampaku dojo, which doesn't seem to be restricting students from joining, but it seems like it's too scary for students to want to come, plus another dojo that Kenichi helps reform by challenging it that origionally taught dirty tricks, and has many students before and after this.

That dirty trick one sounds like a prime Genma candidate. A little Anything Goes corruption that ends up corrected later by the series events.

That's one series. Is it the only one with Martial Arts schools that could be useful? I find it hard to believe but if that is all this ideas already sunk.
