crossover idea twists

Where stuff about fanfiction that doesn't fit into any other category goes. Try to make sure that new topics here actually couldn't actually go somewhere else.

Kiddy Grade/Sailor Moon fusion

Where as its set in KG time line, CT never occured. Gott's Chief is Usagi and her "Office assistant" is Mamoru

Of course the teams are obviously paired off Senshi.

---

And for something wacky that would never make a fic:

A Sailor Moon/Pinky and the Brain fusion where Ami is reincarnated as a female "The Brain" and Usagi as a female "Pinky"...
Storm trooper effect works against good guys as well.

I'm sorry I just can't imagine Usagi Troz-ing snorting and poit-ing. I mean sure I can visualize it and it's silly but none of the character remains. Pinky isn't exactly big on crybaby moments. Weepy yes with the sparkly eyes but not her level waterworks.

Try it with Minako instead of Usagi, perhaps?

Sorry, just need to put this out there.

Sailor Moon plus Kamen Rider Den-O.

Two reasons:
1: Imagin go back to the strongest memories a person has. If combined with the senshi's various past lives, this could lead to interesting situations
2: Tuxedo Kamen Rider. Best. Character concept. Ever.

Edit. Setsuna would be having screaming fits at Yuuto, Den-O, and the imagin in general. Deneb would probably make friends with Usagi really, really eaisily, and would try offering Setsuna candy while she's inarticulately screaming and trying to kill him.

Dragon Ball Z/GT / Tenchi fusion

Everyone knows Vegita- he's a sayain. He had a tail, he's a jerk who loves fighting. Yet neither of his children take after him in that department. Trunks is a bit of a geek, and Bra is a steryotypical useless teenage girl who can't even throw an energy blast.

What if that wasnt the case?

What if Vegita's daughter was.... Ryoko!?! She's tough, she has the spikey hair, she has the tail... Imagine Dragonball GT With Kid Goku, Pan and Ryoko traveling through the stars!

Kagato will end up having to confront a very angry Saiyan father... this is not likely to be a painless incident.

Would Ryoko's mother in this case be Bulma or Washu? If Washu, how would Bulma react? And what could Capsule Corps pull off with Washu's brains available?

Hellsing/Chrono Crusade (manga):

At no point is the mechanism behind Anderson's regenerative abilities explained, beyond the fact that it somehow involves bioengineering. But if one goes into Chrono Crusade canon, there is a possible biological tool that can induce incredible healing abilities, along with other powers - Legion extracted from either Chrono (Who they would have ample opportunities to get blood samples full of it from), or any of the other demons the church fought in that era. Further developments of the implants and other technology used to maintain Remington could be used to keep the Legion healthy.

How would Anderson react to learning his powers come from a demonic source? How would Alucard (He'd probably think it would be hilarious)? And also - Chrono and Aion were originally humans, who were turned into demons of unprecedented power by prenatal exposure to large amounts of Legion. Given that, what would be the long term affects on Anderson?

Firefly/Starwars

Malcolm "Mal" Reynolds was a soldier in the war against reunification. He believed in his cause, and kept his squad going despite being cut off by the enimy, before he was betrayed by his own side and abandoned. Following this abandonment, he took his first officer, bought a ship, and made a living smuggling.

Han Solo was a smugler who won his ship in a game of space-poker (sabac). He worked for the rebals, but was betrayed, and stayed bitter to them for years.

The two have quite a bit in common. Past betrayel, broken ships, and fanaticly loyal friends.

What if you switched the two?

What if, in Star Wars: A New Hope, Obi-wan and Luke didn't get a ride from Han Solo- they got a ride with Malcolm Reynalds. In this setting, Mal was a soldier fighting against the empire, untill his command gave up and left him (and his platoon) to die. Now he travels space with his first officer Zoe, his hired goon Jayne, his Twilek mechanic Kaylee, the fugitive from the empire Simon, and the girl who was experimented on by the empire to create a force-empowered soldier- River.

With Mal's lingering resentment towards the rebelion fighting with his urge to fight for them, it could be an intersting story.

Now that would be interesting to read, Atlan. Who can we get to write it?

Ranma/El Goonish Shive

Ranma is exposed to the Derwitchery Diamond and the mystical martial arts and magic of Ranma's world are revealed to be the same sort of system as the El Goonish Shive comics recently revealed. Ranma and the separated onna-Ranma (Ranko? or whatever) wind up having to start learning magic and practicing their newly discovered abilities, changing into girl form on purpose, onna-Ranma changing people into girls, and developing magical powers based on this, possibly with some other stuff thrown in that the Derwitchery Diamond might see as a curse, like the neko-ken, some remnants of the aging mushrooms, the full body cat's tongue, remnants of the ultimate strength moxibition, possibly the Grandpa Tokyo point (although the effects seem temporary, there must be some lingering effect since it can only be used once a lifetime) the locking ladle and unlocking kettle, remnants of the dragon's whisker soup, and who knows what else!

Someone would get custom spellbooks for Ranma and Onna-Ranma to keep track of and control their magical development, and they might seek to master their Derwitchery origin magic in order to stabilize their powers and start learning new mystical martial arts techniques spontaneously.

Possible revelations might be that Genma's signs and Happosai's fireworks are these sorts of spells and they both have spellbooks already, and that the sen-ken special techniques came from Genma messing with some of his early spells, and that Mousse's hidden weapons skill level and Shampoo's shiatsu mind manipulation skills are also spellbook things of their own.

The good: Onna-Ranma causing mayhem changing people into girls
The bad: Happosai remembering where he left his spellbook
The ugly: Gosunkugi's desperate attempts to learn magic himself, once he finds out what is up

I'd like to point out that there's an old, currently-dead-at-one post Addventure thread that was based off my throwing the Diamond into Ranma's world...I'd be more than happy to see someone take a shot at it...

A Ranma/The Wotch crossover would be fun. The idea could go something like this.

At one point Jason is browsing through the items in the magic shop and gets his hands on some magic gizmo that changes him once again into Sonja. Exasperated he made a stupid wish "I'd really like to meet anyone with as much gender change trouble as I have", and he somehow manages to summon Ranma.

Having Ranma in The wotch universe has many possibilities, and I could even imagine Ranma voluntarily staying aroundin hopes that Anne might find a cure for his curse.
