I'm more of a Star Wars fan.
And that's the bottom line 'cause Dumbledork said so.

Well if you want to see the Best version of The Motion picture so its less painful seek out the VHS Extended version. "12 Minutes New Footage" Printed on the front of the box. All the other versions leave out some moments that show why you should give a damn about Decker and Ilia or however it is spelled.

In nearly all the pictures I found while searching show it as grey. - It's been a long time since I watched the film - was it really that dimly lit?

However, here she is in a powder blue uniform with lieutenant braid.

Spokavriel wrote:And seeing that it was important between her and Decker is there any chance of adding some of the style of her black headband into the VGer one? Seeing as it wasn't worn on screen by her in Uniform.

If you can find me a good picture of her wearing it I will.

Spokavriel wrote:There's also the black belly buckle with no belt... Is there any way to hint at that?
Edit:Oops, spaced it, you put it on the bow... But it was on bellys not breasts...

Well, as they don't have belts, using it as a breast bow seemed a good idea at the time.
And she does have the "senshi belt" as without it she looks like she's wearing the Furinkan Senshi seifuku with powder blue bows and no pineapple

And continuing the Star Trek theme...

You know the Klingon moon is Praxis but for Punishment can you beat Urapenté?

Edit: Instead of hunting down screenshots here are a few of my own. Its great having multiple resources on hand. I had to disable the routines that smooth the image to get the screenshots unfortunately.

Heh spikey boots.

Hmm missed the Steve Martin one. Funny too.

I don't have a dog in the Ilia fight.

I will note that you did the Next Gen Klingon.

The original Klingon Ranma cold be even easier. Just give her angry eyebrows ;p

Gold doesn't really work for a TOS Klingon. The Romulans had Gold and Bronze in their uniforms along with some great textiles. The Klingons had that two tone steel pattern that I see you have some hints of just the wrong color.

Edit: Oops forgot to mention. Beautiful Job on the Headband. Its hard to draw something that even in good lighting is dried blood red nearly black. When you only see it in half light. Not sure about the Details on the VGer bow center though... I can't quite make out what its depicting.

Thanks for the comment. Yeah It's not quite right as posted.(I'll blame the late hour that I posted  )

Here's a link to a site with pictures of the TOS Klingon uniform

Thanks. The pictures show the film was as dimly lit as I remember.

Sorry that image is too small - here it is enlarged.

It's based on the Voyager gold record disc cover

Not too bad but why not do a direct redraw of the Voyager album? The images were drawn to give some idea of how to make a record player and what to expect from one if it did get made so someone could play the recording engraved into the other side of the disc.

Edit: Lighting is critically important. If I saw those costumes lit the way they are in that exhibit I would think they were reproductions that they got the colors wrong on. Most of the light in those close up shots is allot warmer than the set lighting. Its better to go with screenshots than more recent photography.

You can't see the wave lines as they are cut off by her arm.

Oh, I see what you're talking about.
Sorry, uploaded the wrong close up.

I can post a brighter picture. The color of the uniform greatly depends on lighting - in the dimly lit office of "Errand of Mercy" Kor's uniform has a silver cast to it. In the "Trouble with Tribbles" Koloth's is more gold.

This one was done as a request for an acquaintance of mine, The Illustrated Man, a fellow who has Kamen Rider, a sentai team and Godzilla tattooed on his arms.
( And how can you refuse such a request from a man who has Kamen Rider, a sentai team and Godzilla tattooed on his arms?)

So, without further ado, here is his request: the Grasshopper Cyborg Senshi, other wise known as:

It looks ok but aren't the eyes a bit low on the helmet? And have you tried how it would look if the tiara flowed into a pair of antennas? Right now it looks like a really silly unibrow.

thanks for the comment. Good suggestion for the tiara.
The helmet'sgrasshopper eyes are a bit low. That was an artistic decision.
On the real Kamen Rider helmet, the rider looks through two tiny holes below the compound grasshopper eyes as they are too high for a human to look through.
For Senshi Kamen Rider I wanted her eyes to be visible through the lenses.

Here she is with the tiara ends doubling as antennas.

Here are two new senshi.

Who, I'm sure, Haruka Tenoh would love to have a go at ... driving against, of course ...

In the Tokyo district of Azabu-Juuban cousins of the great family of Stig ( Top Gear's Test Driver) have their own distinct uniform

Senshi Stig Ichi ( Who, alas, died in episode 1 of season three)
Image

Senshi Stig Ni (Rumored to have been replaced by her cousin Stig San but this is unconfirmed as neither are talking and they both look the same)
