Non-Senshi Ranma/Makoto matchups

The title might be confusing, so please allow me to explain. I am looking for fanfictions where Ranma ends up with Makoto Kino, aka Sailor Jupiter, but where Ranma himself has no ties to the Sailor Senshi- he is not a magical girl, or a reincarnation of a lesbian lover (of Makoto or any of the other girls), his ties are solely to the here and now. Do any such fanfics exist?

If they do, I'm especially interested in ones where Makoto initially fears that her being one of the Sailor Senshi might drive Ranma away and tries to keep it secret from him as long as possible.

Wedded Bliss, by Typhonis.

Nodoka made her own marriage arrangements with the Kino family, decides that since Ranma can't make up his mind between the other girls, they are unsuitable and declares him married to Makoto. For some reason, Ranma doesn't object (But everyone else in Nerima does).

There's a Ranma/SM/Gold Digger crossover Fast Tracks by tyron23. It's been while since I read it, but Ranma and Makoto are werecheetahs with a setup not all that unlike Wedded Bliss?. Shampoo ends up with those two as well.

In any case, nearly any crossover fanfiction is by defintion AU.

As for true to nature, that varies depending on what looking for. Most of the ones like that I can think of are not really Makoto matchups though... some are not Ranma anyone matchups.

Depends how you define AU really. If you say "everything in canon happened" and it's set post canon, it's not really an AU...but I can't imagine liking fanfics and "not liking AU" at all.

True... But I'm sure you saw my point though.

In any case, really it would be hard for Makoto and Ranma to *not* be a little OOC to fall for each other and successfully have a relationship.

And even then, the other suggested stories in the thread mostly cover that.

About the only cliched approach I see and turns me off is 'Oh he looks just like my sempai'. Personally... for as often I see it in fanfiction... someone could be green, 10 feet tall, and ugly as sin, bent on world domination, and he would*still* manage to look like her sempai.

As for Ranma/Makoto... how about:

I think they might have made the Enemies predominantly Female to keep Mako-chan from saying they looked like her old Sempai.

But I think there might be a fic along those likes (Maybe even one of the ones linked earlier) Where he was her old Sempai. But that's AU IMO since Ranma doesn't look much like any of the guys she said that about.

Actually, I always inferred Makoto's 'sempai' routine to be a combination of:

1) Her image of 'the man of her dreams.' As you'd expect, she's subject to change/modify that image at whim.
2) Latching on to a guy she likes and calling him 'sempai' (which isn't necessarily related to #1, as I've seen a number of characters do this in anime/manga and dramas before, too.)

Of course, I haven't seen all the canon SM material, so if there's something out there that specifically states Makoto's comparing everyone to an actual person she'd known, then... ^_^

In anime dub... she does state she had a old boyfrind called Freddie. I've got it in my notes somewhere.

No clue if there is an actual person in manga she dated or had as a sempai.

I thought Freddie was that one guy she met with under the awning and clearly stated was an old friend but NOT her old boyfriend?

I can't find it in my old notes but only checked 1/2 of them for now, as I'm being called away for something. I know it is there though. Sigh... I did find a reference toa dog being thought of as her boyfriend in episode 72.

Anime dub had some things that are plain different from subbed though in regards to Makoto/Lita. For example, her mom is alive and allergic to cats in dub (Sailor Moon S episode 2).

a recurring gag is her obsession with people who look like the older classmate (sempai) who once broke her heart (unnamed except in the English dub, where he is called Freddy).
