らんま Acts Like a Mommy

Ok here's a quick search that is tough to put in search engines because it is centered around a characters behavior. I'm looking for fics where Ranma acts like a Mother. Be it like Nodoka, like a mother bear protecting her cubs, any clearly motherly behavior no matter what form Ranma is in at the time.

So have any authors pulled some Motherly Ranma bits together that didn't seem completely cartoonish?

Definitely, there are also some of those moments in The Return. Stories where Ranma actually is a mother count as long as the behavior isn't a caricature that makes 1950's cartoons look more like reality.

There is Kevin Hammel's On Her Own where Ranma is the adoptive mother of a little girl and the story that inspired it Jeff Hosmer's Amazons.

I haven't really seen Ruby act like a mom there... Maybe in the Amazon village. . . Its hard to think about that part because of what the Musk King used her for soon after.

Edit:Oops thinking of a different fic. On her own is a great story and in the second to most recent part I read she even promises the little girl to some day make a little brother for her. You know before the Tendos and her parents arrive.

On her own is nothing like Her War but I got them confused some how.

Still more fics wouldn't hurt.

This one was damned good. I went as far as actually buying the first book of the original fic version of it he´s doing. At 1$ at rpgdrivethru it is easily worth it.

In chapter three, she never says she will 'make' a brother for her. She says "Somehow… You'll have a sister or brother, Sakura. I promise."

There are ways this can happen that do not involve a relationship with a man, after all.
