I must admit, she makes such it look graceful enough that it’s hard to believe

Remove such

“You HAVE been spending the past few days her.

“You HAVE been spending the past few days with her.

Honing in on the source, Pluto was able to see that it was Ranma.

Homing. To hone is to sharpen.

This chapter is finally finished. It took an incredible amount of time to work on, but it’s finally finished.
Yeah! but what have you done for us lately. :^)

Can't wait for "Harry Adventures in Space". Pun intended.

And will Ranma try and 'cure' Narcissa of her muggle hating attitude? Maybe she could tell her that the Malfoys are related to Muggles through Lina's and Gourry's second child. Wouldn't that be shocking and scandalous?
And that's the bottom line 'cause Dumbledork said so.

Dumbledork: Yeah, from reading the manga and all, I tend to get the feeling that the first Pluto who appears is just what she says she is: A guardian of the gates. It is her job and life. I tend to not believe that she has complete omnipotence. She may have some, but it merely comes on a need-to-know basis.

And perhaps I should attempt to show the sparring session... if I'm not all crapped out from the length of the story already.

Also, I believe the Nanban Mirror is destroyed and gone. However, the time-travel object I do have in mind is the Time Turner from third year. The fact that Dumbledore gave it to a 13-year-old -- even though Hermione was careful -- wasn't exactly a smart move in a way, and Hermione used the thing daily.

... Seriously, what would happen if Laira ate the Time-Turner? I fear that the idea is too frightening.

About the clothes shopping part. To be perfectly honest, I was well on my way to being sick of the whole 'let's do more girl stuff' angle.

Borgrabbit: thanks for the corrections.

Honestly, after I did the scene where Ranma was tinkering with her invention and wearing goggles, I kept having flashes of Ed from Cowboy Bebop.

Red hair, goggles, white shirt/tank-top, barefoot, creative and intelligent, eccentric, and a few other things. Then I went on and named the floating cat head Ein. That's when I made the crazy connection.

It's scary.

“They’re real.” Ranma answered simply as she twitched and moved her ears. “So is my tail.” She gave a swish of said appendage. “Due to issues with magic going terribly wrong when I was little.”

Don't like the feel of 'terribly wrong'. It sounds like Lina doesn't approve of herself. Perhaps 'getting overly enthusiastic' or 'getting carried away' would be a more positive way to put it.

'terribly wrong'

Good point.

How about "went pear shaped" or "A small accident".

I know! "A minor misscalculation"

Hermione's Time Turner is not the only one. I think there are some in the Department of Mysteries at the Ministry.

I think they had a shelf full of them in the DoM, though most were ruined when they dropped the shelf as a distraction when fleeing from the DE trap in OotP.

Yeah, I think I'll have to change that phrase. It does sound a little awkward.

Ah, now I remember that time room. Ranma will just have to let loose a small fireball in the room.

Good chapter, advances the story nicely.
Will Lucius still pull the diary stunt in this story?

The diary stunt will still be pulled. I don't see why that should change.

One of the few things I'm thinking about changing during second year is the whole polyjuice potion storyline. The trio go ahead and start making the potion -- Hermione being slightly reluctant at first and probably insisting on the fact they could ask Ranma, but Ron convincing them otherwise.

However, a little while later while they are midway through, Ranma ends up finding out. I have a scene in my mind going where Ranma just looks at the trio before glancing at Hermione and commenting 'Refresh my memory, Hermione. Why is Washu interested in you again?'.

Other than that, I'm figuring out how second year will go since Ranma is present. She may know of the chamber because of her exploring the castle, but there are a lot of secret chambers in the school that could be considered the Chamber of Secrets.

A possible scenario is Ranma having an earlier confrontation with the basilisk and manages to blind it in one eye. Then there's the idea that Washu would be interested in having a venomous basilisk fang to research.

I can see Ranma hitting on cat-girl-Hermione.

'Awwww! Does she really have to turn back, Madam Pomfrey?'

But the diary stunt will lose Lucius the respect of his daughter - forever.

Lina has seen the diary in the Malfoy Manor, so she'd know where it came from. That means that she'd quickly figure out that her father effectively tried to murder several students. In addition, he did it in a way that implicated an 11 year old girl. He probably wouldn't get the final point - that the whole purpose of the stunt was to politically embarrass the father of said 11 year old in order to derail some legislation that Arthur Weasley was trying to get passed - without additional information, though.

The whole thing would reek of inexcusably dishonorable behavior to Lina.

Hopefully, Draco will keep his mouth shut this time around. In canon, he was openly calling for the deaths of all Mudbloods in the school the moment the Chamber first opened. If he tried that this time, Lina would knock his teeth out. And if Snape tried to punish her, she could counter by loudly questioning him in the Great Hall as to why he would punish someone for objecting to an open advocation of murder.

Here's a point that Rowling forgot: Why would Snape be able to override the booking of the Quiddich pitch? The pitch is Hooch's territory, not his. He should have no more authority to arbitrarily commandeer someone else classroom than the rest of the faculty does to commandeer the potions labs. Allowing any head of house to override the booked schedule defeats the point of having a schedule in the first place.

There's objection, and there's how you object. Punishing someone for "objecting" to (verbal) advocation of murder by means of a vigilante-esque beatdown would, in fact, be well within reason for a schoolteacher. If nothing else, punishing her for it would be far more understandable that a lot of the crap that Snape, canonically, does in fact get completely away with.

But nobody else, including the faculty, does anything about Draco's actions. If they do nothing and then punish the one person who openly objects, then it ends up looking like that they are condoning Draco's behavior.

Atlan: Believe me, I REALLY want to do that scene. However, with Ranma there, the entire Polyjuice Potion storyline would seem a little un-needed. Sure, some of it makes sense, but not all of it.

It's a shame, really.

Bissek: Even if she never saw the diary, she'd still find out during the course of the year. But yes, the whole event will cause Ranma to lose most of the trust she has for Lucius.

I had a small thought just now. What if instead of Draco getting on the Slytherin team, what if Ranma was somehow tossed onto the team somehow?

I'm unsure about that.
