Actualy you can buy that same grade of sand pretty easily less than 30¢ a pound at most model shops out here. The paterns make me think either that or sawdust on the surface of water were used there are clear ripples in those contours that wouldn't really fit with a secction of carpet.

The bigoted "corrector" of the second version just proved that "girls are twice (or doubly) the root of all evil" AND that she has no sense of humor and a bad mouth. So, she gets a "Z".
