I'm not sure what was in mind for D&D but just in case it would make searching for more easier there are D&D campaign settings mentioned for Mystra, Forgotten Realms, Ravenloft, Dark Sun, Planescape and Dragonlance just in the books I have on hand.

i've already read dani's other fics (a new awakening and ranma of greyskull), but i've always been a bit stand-off-ish about 'dragons, mages, and martial artists... mostly because of the ryoga/mousse angle. i had a feeling that it wouldn't play out well, and given mondo's reaction, i'm guessing my hunch is right. but i'll save that one for a rainy day.

and, yeah spok, i think you're right. for some reason, dragonlance had always set me a bit on edge (i blame it mostly on a friend of mine that is a damn expert and told me all about it. didn't retain much, all i know some of the stuff he brought up didn't sit well with my senses. it might be good, but just not up my alley... well at the moment at least) planesscape i have no clue about, but drak sun and ravenloft sound interesting. and naturally, forgotten realms crosses with ranma would always be awesome :3

and since we are on the subject of settings, then i would have to say (though i'm sure it is obvious by the intent of my initial request) that anything that connects to rokugan and l5r are lumped in the same boat as dragonlance with me. different friend, same problem ^_^;

Too bad that Terry Goodkind has forbidden the use of 'The Sword of Truth' saga for fanfics. I'd really like to see a Ranma/SOT crossover.

I do believe I've seen one ranma/sot crossover. Not that I can remember when or where that was. I'm pretty sure I've also seen one ranma/shannara crossover at some point as well.

Its nice that people 'forbid' others from using characters and settings in fanfics, unfortunately for them it doesn't stop people from using the material. There is not much they can do about it either, but hope that most people will respect their desire not to use their ideas. Even if they manage to get it pulled from most sites, there are other places to store fanfics and spread them. Good things on the net spread like a bad virus, quickly and freely, and there is not a lot that you can do to stop the spread.


I would have liked to have seen more of Louis-Philippe Giroux's work. Lod and Dp were good stories.

Several people have pointed to stories on anifics. I think anifics no longer exists. I have not been able to access it in months.

That is really a shame as Lady Cosmos alone had a lot of stories on her site that to my knowledge never were anywhere else. And yes I loved the stories of Dani Yanega and for some reason she and Stephen never updated there site with the most recent captures written.

Almost all the links to anifics or other places no longer online can still have their content accessed through archive.org Its mostly a matter of their servers getting too busy for access at times.

It should be noted Anifics forums are back on-line, and Sol mentioned at one point he had a backup of the anifics sites, but has been so busy with the forums of late attempting to get it back up and running I do not think he has had time to bring the hosted sites back yet.

Also... you mention anifics was offline, but most of these posts in this old thread date to 2008.
