Someone wondered about Nigeria scams?

Postby Spokavriel » Thu Apr 29, 2010 6:38 pm

A little while back someone claimed they didn't know about the Nigeria Scam. Well it just so happens I found this same letter in my AOL mail box that I have been receiving about once a month for the past 9 years. Thought it might be informative. This time it was claimed to be sent by the FBI.

You removed the contact email address, but not the phone number and snail mail address? :)

E-mail is less effort for someone to try it through. The other things are allot less hazardous and give away fewer ways for the people behind the scam to make your life hell so I left them.

I don't know...

But I'm beginning to wonder if these things have a form generator, by now. o_O

A form generator would probably not have gotten the guys name wrong in the text after the contact information.

Just laziness. :P

Heck, if you're to believe the notice is from the person at the top, there's already a second contact being mentioned, anyway, so what difference does a third make?

I'm not sure why or where-from, but I've been getting about three a day of these lately. (Not this exact scam, a myriad of similar ones. I don't remember entering all those lotteries....)

I didn't post others because I decided to just use the most legible one I could find in my old AOL in box.
