Ah, no it's not Kemeko Deluxe.

This one is an OVA/One-shot. Well... it's a two part movie, but it's quite short so might as well be considered a one-shot. About three girls. (As seen in the first screen) and the boy (the second screen....and yes that is a boy ^_^ ) and somewhere in the midst of it all is a commentary about school and the importance of education.

....and also about buying and island and establishing an independent nation. Ah... I practically gave the plot away.

Ah 2004. I just realize this is kind of difficult because of the lack of information. And it's short. But yes it' was released summer of 2004 in both Japan and America. *nodnods* It also won an award that same year.

As an interesting side note: The director of the anime has a small role as a school kid in the anime. Not that would help any, but it's interesting to note. *nodnods*
