crossover idea twists

Where stuff about fanfiction that doesn't fit into any other category goes. Try to make sure that new topics here actually couldn't actually go somewhere else.

I don't why, but I suddenly had an urge to write a 'slice of life\adventure' fic about Excalibur from Soul Eater and his Master that became a maid with personality close to Fubuki's. (Fubuki is a madi from Kamen no Maid Guy)

MEGACROSSOVER:

There is a big, Japan wide youth martial arts tournament. All entries of the appropriate age groups are accepted, male or female. The only rules are ring out, no interference, no killing, and no permanently crippling or disfiguring attacks, with both sides getting disqualified by time-out, and up to 15 minute matches, or pin or knock out that lasts at least 20 seconds. Ages are from 11 to 19. There is large motivation to join, as the the prizes for the top 16 are all good, and the prize for #1 is huge, a mansion and a ton of yen (10 million or something big enough to motivate a lot of people), and round trip tickets to a location of your choice. Even the schools or dojos have motivation to get students attending who are talented in martial arts to join, as a high school or junior high with someone who gets into the top 16 gets similar monetary prizes, not to mention notable prestige, or if someone enters through a dojo, that dojo also gets a lesser prize compared to the school they attend, but still worth it for the dojo.

It is also an ultimate venue to prove oneself or defeat rivals, and isn't televised because they actually expect some weird special attacks, and the recruiters have admitted this. The entire thing is run by the Kyoto Magic Association and the Shinmei-ryu and paid for by them jointly with Hakubi Washuu and the Masaki clan. It was planned mostly by Washuu originally, after she remembered her purpose and found out about the high levels of spirit magic and ki powers found in some circles on earth, she doubts there will be anything that can rival a greater kami like herself or the other choushin, or even rival Tenchi, but she'd like to check and see in case there is something of intrest, especially as it is highly possible something of earth interacting with Tenchi's Jurai heritage created his abilities, and she knows Earth produced Seina.

The judges/referees are Eishun, Takahata, and Katsuhito. The commentators are Fuurinji Hayato and Konno "Kitsune" Mitsune (suggested by Aoyama Mokoto), and the great Hakubi Washuu herself.

The qualification test involves defeating special robots made by Washuu which have about the strength, speed, and toughness of a non-ki powered good normal human athelete, and about the skill of a 1st dan average black belt equivalent in a generic and versatile style created by the Galaxy Police for subduing criminals without causing permanent harm. What makes the robot special is that they have particularly exacting correct execution of techniques and powerful senses, and they have an above average ability to read an opponent that increases as the battle goes on due to the way Washuu programmed their AI's to read the opponent's style. It is a rather difficult qualifier for normal martial artists, but anyone with special ki powers or above 1st dan level in skill in their particular style has reasonable odds of defeating the robots. They are, for instance, below the level of Tendo Akane at the start of Ranma 1/2 manga in skill and strength, although similar in speed and toughness. The purpose of them is to filter out more of the normal martial artists and street fighters and such, but there is still many who can get past them.

Some of the star entrants include:

Saotome Ranma
Shirihama Kenichi
Aoyama Mokoto
Fuurinji Miu
Setsuna Sakurazaki
Kasugano Sakura
Natsume Atsuko "NukuNuku"
Kanzuki Karin
Hibiki Ryoga
Urameshi Yusuke
Kuwabara Kazuma
Gettou "Mikiri"
Takamachi Kyoya
Kakamachi Miyuki
Shidou Hikaru

Let the chaos begin, and may Washuu's data collection prove very interesting. :D 8)

Edit addition: I'd like to see a situation where onna-Ranma, Fuurinji Miu, and Shidou Hikaru are all standing near each other, preferably in some sort of conversation, and someone else noticing and finding something eerie about the pigtails, or perhaps with Ranma standing in the middle and someone like Koalla Su looking between them and saying "It grows!" and noting their heights and breasts. Or at least just Shidou Hikaru and onna-Ranma and seeing them standing next to each other causing Ryoga to freak out and think Ranma has been cloned or something.

For anyone familiar with the 'Spiral' horror manga series, you know that everyone in that one town whose name escapes me 'dies' in several spiral-related incidents, and joins that freaky spiral whatever, before disappearing from the face of the Earth, right?

What if, just what if, there is one man in the town, a certifiable town 'pariah', if you will, who is just too gosh darn stubborn to get caught up in the spiral's 'curse'?

A man who was well known throughout the town to wear to those rather gaudy orange-tinted glasses?

And in the ensuing chaos of trying to escape the 'curse', he ends up running to another plane of existence, and forces to evolve the 'curse' to UBER epic proportions, where it is not very fatalistically obvious, but subtle in its own right, thus assuring that anyone who gets affected/infected the most will die in each their own unique, but glorious, way?

Which will, of course, put many Anti-Spiral beings into a panic, as the 'Spiral 'Curse' AKA the 'Spiral Nemesis' just returned.

EDIT:

PS: I just got a weird sense of deja vu, here. Can anyone verify that this idea has not been thrown in yet?

I think I saw a matchup like that somewhere on FF.net. It's been at least a year or two, so I don't remember exactly where it would be.

I do recall it was a laugh riot just picturing it in my head, though.

2063: The earth is still recovering from the Third World War, where geneticaly augmented super soldiers conquered the world, or tried to.

2063: The year that the great Zefram Cochrane peformed the first successful warp flight, attracting the Vulcans to earth, and starting a chain of events which would lead to the birth of the Federation.

What if the Third World War had played out a little differently? What if the genetically enhanced supersoldiers were rebeling against their cruel masters?

Ladies and gentlemen, I propose a Star Trek/Pokegirl-verse crossover!

In the origional story, 'Wild Horses and Pokegirls', by Metroanime, it's hinted that there is a secret society of Psy-Dykes ploting against the human (specifically male) race. What if their plot was to change pokegirls, alter their genes so that they didn't need taming, wouldnt go mad without a man?

After an (inivetable) short and bloody war (as Pokegirls outnumbered humans by quite a lot, once you counted all the wild ones), the pokegirls emerged as the sole species on the planet.

Some years later, a pokegirl builds a warp-capeable ship, and attracts the attention of the vulcans...

Vulcans would react to pokegirls much the same way they reacted to cannon humans- the two would be fairly similar in the eyes of a people like the vulcans, except that pokegirls would be more dangerous one-on-one.

Pokegirls would react much as cannon humans would, if with more of an eye to satisfying their libido.

'Space- the final frontier. These are the voyages of the Starship Enterprise. Her mission- to seek out new world, new life, and new sexual positions. To boldly screw where no pokegirl has screwed before'

Abuse that plot line all you want. Trek Cannon before that movie had Zephram Cochrane as a member of the Alpha Centauri settlement established by use of the same kind of sleeper ships seen in The Wrath of Kahn. The only thing they got right based on what Roddenberry had for the character was that he invented Warp drive. I'd have to double check but I think they even got the year of the first warp flight off.

I kinda started something like this a couple years ago, called "One Kingdom More" but got so unwieldy in the prelude, I think most people got lost and didn't even comment on the story.

Female Ranma manages to cross a mystical barrier into a land full of magicians, oni, aliens, and other youkai. She unfortunately crosses the path of an extremely powerful vampire, and loses a formal challenge.

Ranma is dubbed Hong Meirin by her new mistress, the Scarlet Devil.

Basically the story revolves around Ranma's attempts to recross the Hakurei border (during her breaks from guard duty), but Remilia finds her too amusing and arranges events so that she keeps failing.

That could actually be interesting.

Haven't really seen a lot of Ranma/Touhou crosses besides Falgabird from the AA's works.

I just wonder how the NWC would react on seeing Ranma again, if ever.

Guh...I wanna go read (9) One-Half now... but stupid school computer won't let me access the site... ;_;

I wonder would it be a lock fic? I mean it never comes up in Ranma 1/2 but would being changed into a "Mystical" creature lock the curse? I mean it could be written both ways and would really only have to have Ranma as Ranma-chan when meeting up for the premise to continue. But I could imagine the Mistress having fun with Ranma-kun too...

This one shouldn't need any explanation.

Neji Hyuuga meets Dan Kuso. Hilarity ensues.
