Not all asteroids come from the asteroid belt. And to be honest I didn't make another thread because I thought comparing the Senshi Birth Sign planet relationship could still be considered a comparison so seeing if Ranma could be used in a similar conjuction would also be a comparison but more of a stretch.

The Nemesis you describe being a sphere I have never seen that. Where do you get only 1 person banished from? The Cartoon said that the Ancestors plural were banished there. And you don't exactly get a single person to reproduce. The other things don't fit what I saw in the cartoon.

Cannon is always important but seeing how people were griping about it in the Sailor Moon thread and you can't really draw Ranma into it there anyway this is almost the only area left. Unless you demand that the only place fannon concepts such as the possibility of a crossover can be considered is in Other or Spamville.

Just checking to see if you had completely changed tracks or not.

I have no idea what you're arguing, regarding what's said in the first sentence, so... *Shrugs*

The Nemesis you describe being a sphere I have never seen that. Where do you get only 1 person banished from? The Cartoon said that the Ancestors plural were banished there. And you don't exactly get a single person to reproduce. The other things don't fit what I saw in the cartoon.

Ah, yes; gotta love the stark differences between the anime and manga.

Nemesis was a sphere because it was a planet. ;p

Now, my anime's a bit rusty (since I don't care for it, and thus don't watch it), but that's more or less what happened. Traitors were banished to Nemesis a while back and were big enough to form a clan of sorts. And Doom Phantom approached Diamond... when he was a kid, I think... And got the ball rolling. I can't remember if Doom Phantom had a past established or not, or if he was simply a piece of chaos.

The manga makes more sense, to me. Death Phantom was a criminal in Crystal Tokyo's past, who was so bad that Neo-Queen Serenity banished him to Nemesis (which becomes a forbidden place to go to) instead of take care of him for good herself. A group of rebels, who call themselves the Dark Moon, are against Crystal Tokyo's society of longevity hundreds of years later. After some conflict (and, coincidentally, a renewed interest in Nemesis for its energy), the rebel group take over the planet Nemesis and make it their base. I'm not certain at which point they meet "Wise Man", whether it was before or after they go to Nemesis; but it's established that they didn't attack with poison crystals and such until after they made Nemesis their base, since that is where they get the poison crystals from.

Cannon is always important but seeing how people were griping about it in the Sailor Moon thread and you can't really draw Ranma into it there anyway this is almost the only area left. Unless you demand that the only place fannon concepts such as the possibility of a crossover can be considered is in Other or Spamville.

All I can say is that it helps to make what you want more clear, so there's less need for guesswork. Since people tend to come here for the kind of information that would result in something being believable (and factual, in general), I can't assume that someone's looking for information that's questionable, much less relative to the whims of fan-fiction authors themselves.

So, what are you after, exactly? To find comparisons, in both appearance and characteristics associated with a zodiac sign, that would place Ranma as a senshi otherwise not contradicting the senshi already established by being one that doesn't exist in canon? That's about all I can think of, at the moment.

EDIT: It's that funny error, again. For reference, I got this error trying to submit my post:

If memory serves, the red head I Galactica, and she was borne of the Galactic Cauldron, so no celestial alignment to worry about there, but I do believe she was split from herself somehow, hence the pieces/gemini effect. Iwill need to wait til I get to my storage unit to verify it from the Sailor stars arc.

Are you talking about Chibi-Chibi? Because the one in the back is definitely Kakyuu. I know that Chibi-Chibi in the anime is different from the one in the manga, but I don't think that she and Sailor Galaxia were connected... With the galaxy cauldron, maybe; I can't remember. Hopefully we're not going too far off track from the subject by verifying it. XD

About Usagi and Chibi-Usa being Cancers, yet being so different in personality (ignoring vastly differing childhoods), they most likely have differing Moon and Rising signs.

The Sun Sign is what most people know without a doubt. It is also (usually) the most obvious part of the personality. The Sun is the conscious self. It is the behavior one is most comfortable with. It is the every day, fair-weather self. But there is much more to you than your Sun Sign.... when emotions run high....

That's when the Moon Sign comes out. We generally react in emotional situations according to the Moon Sign. This is the primal, subconscious self. You may even fantasize about behaving more like that sign, but it may not feel natural to you unless you're filled with happiness or sadness or anger. The Moon Sign also comes out when you feel very safe - either by yourself or with people you trust. But what about...

The Rising Sign - This is the most difficult element of the chart to explain, but may be even more important than the Sun Sign. In a nutshell, it is the Higher Self. You came into this life with one of the 12 signs of the zodiac on the horizon. This sign represents your horizon - your aspirations, what you look for in the world, and what you want to reflect. It is not surprising that much of your outward appearance, or the way you present yourself to others is determined by the Rising Sign, (and also by any planets that were rising when you were born - the Sun, Moon and planets rule the Zodiac - so a person with Venus rising is much like a Libra or Taurus rising, and Moon rising is just like Cancer rising, etc.) We want to attract and bring into our lives that which we aspire to. A Libra rising person looks for beauty, equality and comfort - and his/her natural beauty and charm are helpful in bringing it. An Aries rising individual looks for excitement and new challenges. Her/his look of bold determination and fearlessness is conducive to finding it! The Rising Sign changes continually throughout the day - so Birth Time and Place are essential pieces of information in determining the Rising Sign.

Why is the Rising Sign so important? Once you discover why you have the particular Rising Sign you do, you will be on the road to realizing and sharing one of your most powerful gifts. It represents an important aspect of what you were born to work on perfecting in this life (it could take several lifetimes.) So, why does Scorpio Rising look for power, secrets and extreme emotions? Why does Aquarius Rising look for equality and brotherhood? Why does Sagittarius Rising look at the world with a wise, philosophical viewpoint?

Hope that helps, astrologically wise.
