The wagon wheel festival site is active on another server and using another IP address, as I understand it. They'd transferred it during a service upgrade, and It was set as inactive on the server that hosts our site. When the server was rebooted, the error caused the server to associate the IP address with the inactive version of the wagon wheel festival and reactivated it. The result was that when our domain name was called, the Internet name servers called on the IP address as they are supposed to and got that site instead of ours.
I'm still getting redirects on the Spamville and board index links with a iPhone/Mobile app
It can take up to a day for all IP address changes to propagate to all the internet name servers. That should clear itself up given time.
Sounds like something a really determined hacker could do to attempt to bring back a site they miss.
Nah. At first, I thought we'd been hacked too, but the techs at the hosting company confirmed that it was caused by a glitch in their system. They are looking into the reason why it did that.
