Nice dig at Tarkin. I think we have the same 3-PO from Applause or at least mine looks the same as yours does.

3-PO is an "Action Master" die cast metal figure made by Kenner from 1994. ( I have the Artoo, Darth Vader and Stormtrooper from that set)
Mind you there are not many action poses for 3-PO.

That explains why they look the same. The Applause resin figure set are miniatures of that line. No joints though.

Continuing with the StarWars/Eva cross for a bit:

No joints in the metal figure either. As an aside here are three 3PO's - The tallest is a Fundimensions model kit from 1978, the middle is the Kenner action figure from 1978 and the smallest is the solid metal figure.

Did the Model Kit take the advice of Thespians literally?

Sorry, I don't get the reference.

Here's a couple of different crossovers:

The advice of Thespians. Break a leg. That last picture makes me wonder if there are any BGC crossovers with NGE. Soryu could really use a hard suit and a Motoslave.

Ah. Okay. - His leg's not broken - just a trick of the light and a wiped blot of glue. -

Shouldn't that be T-chan(Cuter name for toto) And the hair recolor between Ranma-chan and Asuka was a bit blatant.

good thought - I'll change it later

Aside - thinking on it I could follow the example of Lucky Star's Akira Kogami and call him To-ni-chan (To-2 chan) ( Akira's catchphrase Bye-ni Bye2 - for bye bye) - nah.

And the hair recolor between Ranma-chan and Asuka was a bit blatant.

only a bit? :)

They remain fun. But I have to wonder how Gendo would react to that change in his staff.

He probably wouldn't like her wanting to be friends with the Angels or, for that matter, blasting the heck out of them on her own.

By the way, Nice update to your avatar.

Heres the redone Oz with T-chan - but should they really be following him?:

Thanks on the avatar. It's still not quite right. I mean the tie is suppose to have stripes. And I'm no good at spriting collars. The background is also kinda bland... Sure the colors are pumpkinish but there's no flicker to the yellow light.

On T-chan I don't know if they should but hey he does seem to be staying on the road for once.

Nice Squares spoof too. I'll take Rei II to for the block ;)

Edit: There we go. Now it has a semi random lighting effect on the masks and stripes on the tie along with a collar. I still think I messed up on the collar.

The lighting effect looks good - as do the stripes and the collar.

so far... (mind you, Judy Garland's Dorothy & co certainly got off road quite a bit.)

Host: Rei II, finish the phrase: There is nothing certain but....
Rei II : The Commander's Plan.

(If you can think of something funnier please post it)

Here's an image of blatant stereotyping:
