Not really. It's just hard to see how they made that one particular assumption. It's a fun part of the fic but drawing the conclusion that it's based on just isn't adding up to me.

Edit: Actually you might be able to make up a spell. Like a If walls could talk one.

"Even with a magic investigation all the wall could tell us is how many times Poor Harry's head collided with it."

Someone else "We're lucky we got that. Muggle houses don't have helpful portraits to fill in the details for us."

Actually I believe something like that have already been used. I remember reading a fic once with almost that exact scene. Unfortunately, I'm unable to remeber the name of that fic.
