If it weren't for my kids, I'd sleep away entire weekends. It was a favorite pastime of mine before I got married.

Yes indeedily-doodily. But... *stares up at the sky dreamily, obviously thinking of her family* ...I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Very agreed. I just find it incomprehensible why you wouldn't want to DO something.

Whereas I find it incomprehensible why anyone would want to do anything. Though that could be more a reflection of Curtis' mental issues than mine.

Speaking of my kids: Eebon, Elk, and Ellen are graduating from school this year.

Congrats to them. Hopefully they enjoy becoming one with the adult world~

One can hope. Eebon hasn't decided yet what she wants to do with her life, Elk's considering applying for an opening at a local prison since the warden there's retiring at the end of the year, Ellen wants to compete in the Olympics somewhere... there's a lot of thinking yet to do.

I'm actually surprised with Ellen's interest there. Never realized she was the sporty type.

She used to think it was just a pipe dream, but our friends back home were able to encourage her to improve herself. So, she's been working to improve her athleticism behind the scenes for a while. *shrugs* The thought of competing as a swimmer has always appealed to her. It just hasn't always been evident because she's been working on her cartakinesis, too.

That's the term Ellen uses for her paper manipulation. Comes from the Italian word for paper.
