Week of 2/19/2018 - 99 Luftballons, by Nena. Curtis has a tape of clips from his middle school, and one of them depicted one of his classmates dancing to this song during a talent show. He didn't what it was called at the time, so he had to ask someone on Fukufics about it.

*sigh* There's part of me that doesn't want to choose this one, since I have no real fondness for metal music or for the game this song came from. But since I've had the song on the mind in recent weeks and I'm coming up empty on other possible selections, I may as well.

Speaking from my own perspective and not Curtis's...

Back in 1992 for my older brother's graduation party, one of my other siblings put together a set of four audio tapes to be played during the party, from 5pm to 11pm. Of those four, two have long since vanished: the first to who knows where, and the third Curtis accidentally left behind at a hotel somewhere in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1996. The 4th tape was recorded over entirely at some point and replaced with soft rock---don't know when or who was responsible.

Anyway, starting this week, I'm going to list off as much of the music from the lost 3rd tape that I can recall. If I've already used songs from the tape within the past four years or thereabouts, I'll just say what they are and move on to the next one.

So, then: Week of 4/2/2018 -- New Edition's A Little Bit of Love (Is All It Takes).

Week of 4/9/2018 - Here We Go, Let's Rock & Roll, from C+C Music Factory. It's weird... I listened to stuff like this a lot when I was younger, but now I almost feel embarrassed to admit it.
