"Volcano lines" is not your generic snowboarding vid, if only because the guys are carving up old and dirty snow.

Still pretty neat. Might have to show my friend, it's his kinda thing, even if he's usually hiking rather than skiing nowadays(including on Iceland).

Dogbertcarrol always amuses.

Have you read his "A MODern Man"? Last line of 1st chapter is priceless.

*snickers* Yeah, talk about a backfire. And, yes, I think I have read circabout all the dogbertcarroll stuff on both FF.net and TTH.

Dogbertcarrol is (perhaps) difficult to read properly because he puts most of his stories into "and now something completely different" files, so the pieces are lying about randomly. But then if he were a straight-ahead by-the-book person, he wouldn't be Dogbertcarrol. That would be terrible.

I ended up building my own alphabetised table of contents for the snippet collections.

Aside:

Only two chapters were written of this HP×BtVS crossover. Beauxbatons can't make it to the TWT so another school must be invited. The only school that accepts is "Hellmouth High" in Sunnydale, California. Cue Willow worrying about if she remembered to turn off the Hellmouth before leaving for the UK.

Yup, same here. I've got both sites on author follow so i get updated regardless what more craziness has been cooked up.
After i had more than halfdozen of his stories on follow, i just went  and wondered why i hadn't just followed author instead and get it over with. Then i was kinda trapped for a week reading through everything i had so far not followed.

He's got better about noting where previous chapters are at least(when i started reading his stuff, those pointers mostly didn't exist), and also shifted more and more chapters into their own stories.
So, improvements, yaaay! :D

It looks ike something snarfed from Elfwood, but I really have no idea. The copy I have is stamped 2001-12-08 19:49:02 but is almost certainly somewhat older.

I recently grabbed a music player named Qmmp, mostly in the hope it could use WinAmp2 skins. It could. Much squee. It can also play more than the expected MP3 and Ogg Vorbis files. More squee.

Saw a neat text pic today:

"First time in history / we can save the human race by laying in front of the T.V. and doing nothing / Lets not screw this up"

Original text was all-caps but otherwise thus.

As you perhaps know, various companies and institutions auto-generate e-mail addresses. One method is to take the first six letters of the surname/family name/last name and prepend or append the first two initials or the first two letters of the first name.

The Internet has many examples of cringeworthy e-mail addresses spat out by this method.

Recent note in a bookshop window: "The post-apocalyptical fiction section has been moved to Current Affairs."
