One potential problem that you will have to deal with in some way is the Happosai-Genma interaction. I'm having a hard time imagining that Genma's nature would stay hidden around Happosai, so I would imagine that either Genma isn't a student of Happosai or Genma is having severe trauma from that time.

Excellent stuff! Gendo did a real misstep there.

The only thing that might cause some problem is the pacing. With everyone rushing for the endgame, the battle with the 16th might cause a little problem with the flow.

Will you have Ranma stay in Nerima, or do you plan to soon move him on, like I would expect from you?

I think that this story shows the weakness of a first person writing. It's hard to enter the shoes of the protagonist, because he doesn't describe himself.

I agree. I have seen too many fics that makes Buffy and Anita Blake natives of the same planet. That doesn't work at all.
