Okay, so this one is more ‘hnnnng’ than ‘squee’, or at least has the former following the latter.

That ginormous manga collection is too large. I remember many years ago when assorted American publishers were putting out giant-size comics, by which I mean tabloid size. I was tickled to get a few, but after reading them I could NOT figure out storage or preservation. Books or magazines that are the wrong size and will not fit a bookshelf or bookcase are a mutation doomed to leave no descendants.

That's neat really. An impressively novel concept. I expect it needs a large customerbase to be realistic though.

Indeed. That one just isn't "functional". But OTOH, it's just 10 printed as special prizes, so not for sale anyway.

I looked at the picture, tried to imagine reading it, and recoiled in horror. If they're only doing ten copies, that's different. If they're smart each publisher will keep one copy in their archives, and send copies to whatever Japan has comparable to our Library of Congress. That would still leave copies for prizes, and provide an interesting printed record of their publications - one so bulky nobody is likely to hide it under their shirt and take it home.

When was the last time a publisher was smart? Well ok, Jim Baen probably counts, but he's sadly gone now. I bet it's a 10 print run, and ALL of those go off as prizes(that's what the article suggests at least). That is amazingly normal/standard procedure. :?

For some really good illustrated beer, try this one. Good speakers a plus. No NSFW or jump-scares, but some assertive music.

Damn, that was actually impressive. Hilariously excessive.

I was tempted to reach for that tinnie.

Even if nothing else was ( and it is ), actually being able to draw with pencils like that without breaking them is amazing all by itself. :P

A hellagood beer ad, indeed. I suppose that Hokkaidans now say when they see a piece of hot tail: "I'd hit it like the taiko in that Sapporo beer ad."

Anyways, another twofer from Soranews:

Oh, yeah. These look way better than plastic tarps.
