Hermione has spent time at Saint Trinian's. Sadly, all the crossovers are with the movies. I came to love St. Trinian's long ago from the cartoons (non-moving) by Ronald Searle.



And then there was the time Ranma crossed over with the Red Green Show, or perhaps MacGyver...

Sometimes the off-the-wall crossovers are the most fun. But it's nice to maintain at least a pretense of canon: if you use "Sven and Ole's School for Truck Driving and Magic" you must include Lena somewhere. Pizza wouldn't hurt, either.

I thought of Different Colours while making up a name for the school. Wanted an off-beat school that teaches whatever they can think of to teach. Chances are she'd pick up hunting, fishing, geology, radio communications, electronics, engine and frame repair, cryptography ...

Pretty sure Lena could add such obscurities as civil/road engineering and parking 40ft. trailers.

Had this weird dream this morning involving a stereotypical top-floor stand-off between a protagonist (my perspective) and an escaped Egyptian Zombie Queen. The setting was some chrome-and-steel monstrosity of a bar, so after I woke up (during the stand-off), I thought: ‘What if the protagonist somehow got that dame to take in beer instead of brains or whatever?’ This led to the following:

Some scientist or soldier shouts: “Our instruments show that she’s warming up!” (as in, her body temperature is rising; the idea being that the beer is causing her body to restart.)

The protagonist hears it and yells back: “But I’ve only got a few beers into her yet!”

FWAM!

“Y’know, I thought facevaults only happened in anime.”

My inner tetsuota just doesn’t want to give up the notch. He now insists that http://www.fukufics.com/viewtopic.php?f=65&t=7549#p431823 (on the first page of this thread) would work better if Ranma was driving a fast-response road-rail truck built to assist troubled trains and effect emergency repairs. Well, it might suit any story better and I think he might have a technique to flash-weld broken rails and wires. Now if he only had some that’d let him work on live 1500VDC catenary…

What about someone from storyverse A being trained by both the protagonists and antagonists from storyverse B without the latter knowing about each other? Or do they?

That is… Someone from A-verse wanders into B-verse where both groups recognise that (s)he has a Destiny and decide to train hir for it as it has nothing to do with them and may even benefit them in some way, likely by keeping the A-verse Big Bad away from the B-verse.

Should definitely have potential. Might not be entirely easy to come up with a crossover that will work well though.

“I’m non-mixy with all but the whitest of magics,” Xander Harris said in dogbertcarroll’s “Puffin’ like there’s no tomorrow”. Now, what if he could perform Slayers-style White Magic? Trying to imagine a scare of fledglings running away as fast as they can when they hear him incant a Holy Bless. Or maybe purify a graveyard every third now and then, just to prank the other Scoobies.

“Okay. Basically, take the C5 Silver Arrow to Kymlinge and back.”
