PCHeintz72's Filtered Full List Update-03/23/15

Attached to this post are the filtered Favorites list and Linked list in 7z format, use any extraction program supporting 7z to get at the files.

Note 1, The lists are in multiple files, so one need only download the formats desired. More but smaller files allows me to fit them into the max individual file size of the forum, and potentially minimize bandwidth usage on those wishing to download the files.

Note 2, I am making available here only the BBC (normal forums), BB2 (similar in format to Anifics and SpaceBattles), HTML, OPML, and TXT formats of the lists. The other formats (CSV and XML) have been tentatively deemed unneeded for mass distribution though I still create them and give them out to select individuals and/or those whom ask for them.

Note 3, See the Lister_Notes file in the TXT version of the list for known oddities and discrepancies, history of how lists came to be, explanation of files generated, functions of the program, and reasoning behind the organization and naming conventions.

Warning, as has always been the case, be aware some of these links are to graphic content (Sex and/or Rape and/or Torture) stories. In most all cases either such is noted in the files, or noted on the various author pages or sites the links in the files go to. Open at your own risk.

I did find and correct a couple long standing bugs in the XML output of the Lister program. No other format of the lists affected.

I did not know they were there, I came across them by accident when I switched the program I use as my XML editor.

Since I do not distribute those for the most part only one or two people would have been affected even if they did use that version of the list.

I cannot say anything in regards to the Harry Potter stories, since that is a fandom I do not read, but at least two of the Ranma Crossovers are by other authors, and of which one I already confirmed with the original author he did not repost or know about a repost of his work by that person. 'Seahorse' by Vahn, a Ranma and Sailor Moon story, has been reposted. As has 'The Black Paw' by Ice-Tea-1983, A Ranma and Gold Digger multi-crossover. Vahn has at least confirmed by PM discussion on Fukufics 'Seahorse' being posted is not by his knowledge or approval. I'm assuming the same is the case for the other story. FYI: for those using FanFictionDownLoaderNET and have the version released a couple weeks ago.
- The installer was not accurately updated to reflect what version it is installing, when you download that installer, it *say* it is for the prior version, but it really is the new installer.
- MediaMiner.ORG links. It now again works with MediaMiner links. However, it looks like it only wirks if the link has 'www.' in it. MediaMiner.ORG actually accepts both.
- FicWad.COM links. For whatever reason, while it correctly grabs stories, author names are blank in the author name field... annoying if you have FFDL set up to use the author name as part of the file name.

Special Notice for TFF forum. Due to the forum having been upgraded it is now not very compatible with Internet Explorer. In fact I would go so far as to say the creators broke the software. I have been informed the solution is either to 'get a real browser' (well, their words were harsher and not overly polite, but that is the bottom line), or upgrade to Windows 10 and use Edge. I have set my tentative upgrade to Windows 10 at around April or May time frame next year. Of course, if it is May next year, then the soonest anyone here would know is June, as I do not post to this forum in May.

I am very tempted to not post any further updates to my partial update thread on TFF until either I upgrade or they fix what was broke, rather than deal with it. I am still undecided, but this may well be the last posting of a partial update on TFF. I suggest members there look at the respective update threads I post on BYTM or Fukufics for updates or even Old TFF. All of which seem fine at the moment with Internet Explorer.

I will still be around and posting on the forum, but for all intents the post screen is broke for me, particularly the quote buttons and default preview mode (which under IE cannot be turned off due to that feature not working either). The Quick Post functionality seems to still be stable.
