I agree...

How about a cannonball? O_o

How fast do those go?

They are usually slower. Most cannon are smooth bore. But that much mass at momentum could still kill even Genma but maybe not Happosai because he's too small to properly target. (5 lb ball and higher)

The problem with bullets having a penetrating advantage, because of their speed and focusing on a small area, is that they have such a small mass. That's not a problem in the real world, as that's more than enough to compromise human flesh. However, because hand-held guns don't blow the user off of their feet, the targets on the receiving end can wear protection (like vests, helmets and shields) that are both functional and practical. I can't even begin to imagine what a normal person would hope to do to protect themselves from Ryu's attack, which -- while probably not as fast as a bullet -- seems to outclass them in terms of effect in every way by leaps and bounds.

As for sword proof, I believe Ranma could be. It would ultimately depend on the opponent and their weapon, but Ranma's taken a direct hit from Tatewaki, who could cut through stone and trees with a wooden sword -- just like Ryu's attack could. And all that Tatewaki was able to accomplish was a relatively minor flesh wound.

As for a cannonball, if we're talking about Happosai, he could just redirect where it's going. Ranma knows how to do that, as well. But I wouldn't be surprised if Happosai could stop it with a finger, like he did with the giant firecracker and Taro's punch.

Kuno is with air pressure, but he did survive that Ryu one...

Anything sharper than that?

He won't stand a chance against a lightsaber, but how about other sharp things?

A Light saber is a plasma blade of focused force energy. Its extremely hot and powerful but not really sharp in a traditional sense. Its like swinging around a bow staff made of the surface of a star.

Well, yeah, but that isn't considered sharp? Ok.

Tatewaki didn't hit him with air pressure regarding what I was referring to. It also wasn't air pressure when he took out a part of the school wall and a tree upon first encountering Ranma.

Sharper? Huh... Nothing really comes to mind, as Ranma tends to avoid sharp things fairly well (because it still hurts even if it doesn't happen to injure him much). Also, he can catch blades with his hands and substitute himself to avoid being cut or stabbed by sharp objects as well.

Wait, now that it occurs to me... Ranma (and Konatsu) did take an arrow to the forehead. But I'm guessing it was just a gag effect even if it was an arrow to the brain. XD;;

As for a lightsaber... Well, Herb was able to make a blade with ki. Unless ki is such a thing that can be burned (or whatever) by a lightsaber, I think it's a feasible way to guard or counter it with. Who knows. But Ranma seems fairly resistant to heat besides, considering he could have a fever hot enough to burn fur; and if it's that extreme with his body itself being responsible, I can only wonder what the boundary of outside effects would be.

Except that he couldn't take saffron's heat directly and needed a frozen Akane to live.

That stuff is HOT!

After being constantly baked and frozen for round after round of a fight that shattered quite allot of landscape. Similar damage comes from Gojira sumo wrestling something in his own weight class.

Actually, I'm pretty sure he was exposed to Saffron's fire several times. Heck, he froze his own body to resist the heat (since having to go, "ouch, ouch, ouch," isn't very productive ;p ). How he managed that without dying befuddles my poor, weak brain. Though it's no surprise, seeing as his body's been cold enough before that ice formed around him from the moisture in the air. You know, well below a temperature where someone could still be functioning in any appreciable way, much less alive. XD;;

More accurate to say they got repeatedly singed but not destroyed.

]I'm thinking more along the lines of protection from the weapon he was using.

Possibly. It's also possibly the reason he didn't get burned to death.
