I'm unsure about that.

I think that it's a bad idea, and dangerously close to Mary Sue territory. Always avoid the 'instead' in crossovers. Ranma getting on the team also might work or not.

However what you really need to ask yourself at this point is what you want Draco to play in this story. The second book storyline will be critical on what role he will play in the future.

I really don't see a reason to have Ranma on the team. Why sould she do it? She can fly better than any broom.
And that's the bottom line 'cause Dumbledork said so.

Since she can fly better than any broom, wouldn't she make an excellent assistant coach? I could really see Ranma doing this in order to properly train her brother. I can also imagine the rumors of Lina specializing in torture, due to Ranma's skewed definition of training.

Also, it's summer now at Hogwarts. What are Xellos and Happosai doing now that Ranma is supposed to be on vacation?
Just floating around.

Assistant coach? Now that has possibilities.

CJN: True, it would be a bad idea to change that part. However, I think it would be interesting if before Draco becomes the Seeker to the Slytherin team, he comments about how he'd like to try out, and Ranma states that it couldn't hurt. The scene would then involve Ranma accompanying him -- in secret if she wouldn't be allowed -- and seeing that Draco IS good enough to be the seeker on the team.

Then, as a celebration for that achievement, Lucius ends up sending the Nimbus 2001's to the team and all.

With that scenario, it'd make and show that the part where Hermione states that 'at least nobody on Gryffindor had to buy their way onto the team' is wrong on many accounts.

Dumbledork: Yeah, and as I've put in a previous chapter for the Flying Lessons part, Ranma feels rather embarrassed sitting on brooms and all.

asterion: You know, I think I like that assistant coach idea. I could honestly see Ranma's enthusiasm for training being similar -- and even worse -- to Oliver Wood's. She could figuratively AND literally drag their asses through the mud and beat their heads in for constant attempts at cheating. This angle sounds so much better than Ranma being on the team itself.

I can honestly see it now. Ranma is watching a Quidditch game and sees the Slytherin team start cheating. She then whips out a mega horn from nowhere and starts shouting something along the lines off...

"Hey idiots, if you don't stop cheating now, then I'm going to insist on some extra training lessons for the next two weeks!"

Of course, that outright freaks the team out and causes them to play fairly for the moment.

As for Xellos and Happosai, I've been thinking of having Xellos make a small appearance in the next chapter and kind of spooking Hermione. After-all, a purple-haired stranger with a perpetual happy look on his face suddenly appearing out of nowhere on a cabbit spaceship that's already flying would give anybody a slight fright.

Happosai... unsure right now. He really does need to make another appearance.

If you're referring to Xeloss, the guy never lies. Ever. However, he does frequently phrase the truth in a highly misleading manner. If he can't find a way to do that, he simply say "Sore wa himitsu desu".

The only time I can think of that Xelloss arguably lied was in Slayers Next, when he deliberately mispronounced the name "Clair Bibble".

Just read through the last bunch of posts ive missed being offline. As I read the time turner comments a few pages back,

"... Seriously, what would happen if Laira ate the Time-Turner? I fear that the idea is too frightening."

I thought a funny thought. To use it you have to turn it around, one turn for each hour. Just Imagine Laira back flipping in the air to activate it, like the moon cats do to get the henshin rods and things. She could accidently get a magical artifact or communicator by performing the cat's summoning ritiual. I know it sounds stupid but it seemed funnier in my head.

This sort of item could leave the 'harmless prank' territory VERY quickly if it's not handled carefully.
