From up in the tree (he didn't bother to climb down) Cam said, "You go on. I'll catch up in a sec." After chanting in a low voice he ran his hand over his face and ears, once more, taking on the appearance of a human version of himself.
Once he was finished with his spell he followed after the others moving from tree branch to tree branch, tree to tree with the ease, speed, and silence no human could match.

Cam snorted. "Ninjas wish they were elves," he replied. "An elven ninja would be a very scary thing to behold."

"I'll need to climb higher to see. Wait here," he replied before climbing into the upper branches of the tree to see if he could spot any signs of a village.

So..... anyone figured a cover story for when we hit civilization? We're gonna need to gather a bit of recon to figure out where and when we are.... and most people are quite suspicious of foreign looking travellers.... *shrugs* And we really can't say we're a band of "plane-hopping adventurers in search of a mythical and probably quite demonic gateway to transport us on the path to home while at the same time trying to find out what happened to our comatose guide who is sharing a sub-dimensional pocket with an over-amorous boomer that is in love with her creator".....
