Story Ideas for the Demented and Insane

For submitting and talking about story ideas. Idea submissions must be at least five paragraphs long, and include plot points, summaries of which characters are involved, and, for fanfiction, how it differs from canon. Both original and fanfiction ideas welcome. Though original works should have more development. Replying posts must give actual commentary, no "GREAT IDEA" or "THIS SUCKS".

Story Ideas for the Demented and Insane

Take 1: <Recommended Title> -=Long Time Gone=-
The basic idea of this story is a Ranma / Naruto / SM Crossover set starting in a post apocolyptic Tokyo and moving to the world of Naruto.
Summary (Movie Preview Style): -- The war was over, the world as we know it destroyed. Demons roamed the earth exterminating all they could find whenever the whim came upon them. Earths survivors banded together under the few remaining leaders. Life went on and eventually the demons were sealed, wherever they could be. But some of the power that defied those demons then is still around today. A determined princess and her guardians, too stubborn to give up. A proud warrior, who lost everything, but who's honor will not allow him to die. A young boy, hated by the very villiage he gives his life to protect. Together they face an evil the like of which this world has never seen. (SM x Ranma half x Naruto)
inspiration/explanation -- The basic story is that there is a war in which the Demons arrived on earth and destroyed "Modern" civilization. Due to their chaotic nature the Time Gates (ie Pluto) was never able to even remotely predict this outcome. Ranma, due to his unique nature, survives in the ruins of Nerima, unable in the end to protect those he held dear, yet to proud to commit Seppuku. He meets up with the Scouts in Juuban shortly after the disaster and sticks with them, aiding them in their fights to create a place where people can live. Together over the ruins of Tokyo and with what technology they can salvage they create a true hidden villiage, one of the first in the new world. Being who they are, they decide to fade into the background, unwilling to rule forever, and yet unable to die.
Konoha will later discover this hidden villiage and marvel at both their technology and their fighting prowess. <method left to authors discretion> What happens when Naruto stumbles over <literally perhaps> the hiding place of the worlds greatest living warriors?
<pairings and storyline left to authors discretion at this point. Figured that this was enough background to make a decent story out of. Other series may be included but I wouldn't recommend including them at start, might get too confusing>

admittedly not what i had in mind but whoever wants to write this could either choose to do that or not. I had more in mind that Ranma hooked up with one (mabey 2) senshi but due to <insert circumstance> none of them have children.

Hmmm. This makes me think of some curiousities in Naruto.
Where did bloodline limits come from?
How did people find out about Chakra natures?
How did the First Hokage find out that he could use Mokuton jutsu?
And how did the Third Kazekage go about learning to manipulate magnetic fields to create his Satetsu jutsu?

*Relevant to my story anwers*
Good points by the way
Bloodline limits is easy enough. Selective breeding and mutations. If enough people with similar traits breed together (either deliberately or simply over time) then their traits become hereditary (a bloodline). The mutations to create the original traits in a wider variety of people (genetic stock) then they fight for dominance and form a clan, selective breeding to prevent genetic weakness will solve the rest of the problem. Dont want too much inbreeding OR too much outside blood.
As for Chakra, I'd say have Ranma discover it after observing the scouts in action. A mixture of "Spiritual" and "Physical" power. in other words, a blending of a body's natural Magic, and physical Ki. This would make sense for an explanation of chakra itself as well.
Experimentation is the key to Jutsu Development. You can either use Human ingenuity or divine intervention. Whichever the result is the same. If it can be done then someone somewhere will eventually figure out how to do it. Human nature.

Just wondering, how long was the time period between the fall of 'modern civilasation' and Naruto? 1000 years, 500?
All that is technically needed for Ranma to live a long time is the Ginzuishou. Considering the people of the Silver Millennium lived for 1000 years....

Who says Ranma needs the Ginzuishou? Cologne and Happosai are 300 years old by way of their Martial Arts mastery. It's theoretically quite possible Ranma developed some technique to slow down/stop his aging so that he looks at most like a 50 year old or something.

points to both of you. I was thinking about 750 to 1000 years, and I was also thinking a combination magic / Ki mastery as the reason they are all still alive and whats more still kicking. I would say...appearant age of 20's to 30's all around. Ranma has certainly trained the scouts by this point so they are all about the same level.
Was considering this and realized perhaps another good series to "try" and tie into this mess would be Tenchi...but i havent worked all the bugs out of that one yet, If I get some good ideas for that ill toss them up for consideration.
...man i wish i could write well, this is a good idea (at least in my opinion) and I've got it all in my head here I just cant get it onto the paper/screen in a way thats actually readable.

:( That happens to me when I try write anything more substantial a list, it's all there in my mind but I can never get it out on to paper and making sense. :x Annoyed the hell outta me, especially when I was taking an exam.
Ranma/SM/Naruto is probably enough series to put in a story, or you'll end up swamped in characters.
Just with that you'll have about 12, or more main characters.

Any luck on getting it on to paper? It'd be shame, the idea is pretty awesome!
Cause it's seems to have given me lots of idea's for scenes, but it's probably best that they never see the light of day.

Try making a timeline of all the major events you want to happen from start to finish then buff up the events. I'm not very good an this either but doing this when I practice writing helps me not write my self into a hole or have either too many or too few events happen at one time. It keeps it from being rished that way.
