Upgrading laptop to SSD/PS3 to 7200 RPM HDD

Postby Konsaki » Sun Oct 20, 2013 1:49 am

So, I've been researching the results of upgrading a PS3 to SSD vs a 7200 RPM HDD this past week. Based off my findings, I figure it'd be a bit of a waste to throw a SSD into the PS3 but I also don't want to just buy a 7200 RPM HDD.

Then a solution dawned on me; I buy two of 500GB SSD's and install them into my laptop and use the 750GB 7200RPM HDD from my laptop to upgrade my PS3. Win/win... at least I hope. :P
Only thing that sucks about all this is the shipping time of 2-4 weeks due to me being in an overseas location. >_<

2-inch hard drives have a shitty life expectancy.

While 3-inch drives live for 4 years, 2-inch ones live for 2.

No HDD, no matter how fast, can come even close to a SSD when they operate on lots of small files. Just compare Battle for Wesnoth load times.
