Fanfictionlibrary.org is both marginally illegal and deceptive. They try to scam people out of their personal information in exchange, not for hosting any fanfiction, but for hosting links to other people who host fanfiction. In essence they googled 'fanfiction' and sorted the links and are now attempting to make money off it. The entire web page is deceptive; they credit themselves with "Keeping fanfiction 100% free". they freely admit that their site "contains _links_ to Fan Fiction databases and resources that have many of the same Fan Fiction works that you'll find on the other Fan Fiction sites" (emphasis mine)and implies that other fanfiction sites require you to "pay $19.99, $29.99, or $39.99+ to join" This is in fact not true and any fanfiction site which did charge money would be actionable since fanfiction is only ignored by copyright holders because the copyright infringement inherent in fanfiction by definition is _not for any financial gain_. They claim that on their site they "list links to...fee-based Fan Fiction sources and sites." and that they can afford to do this because they "we are sponsored by a major advertiser!” It follows that any information submitted to this site such as your email and home address will be forwarded straight to advertisers and spammers. Something needs to be done.
