I have.
I read it ^_^. Superb story, with amazing characterization and awesome storyline... But very slow on update...

Very slow, yes, but far better than the non-existant updates of far too many good stories.
At the very least, he keeps people informed. Granted again it's long in coming sometimes, but appreciated none the less.

Point. But I'm also alarge fan of...I guess you could say, stories where there's no "character goes through hell". I prefer happiness

As you may be able to tell by my avatar and overall 'theme', I am a fan of stories where a character goes through hell, so I didn't really like Genma's Daughter. I can appreciate that it's well written, and is actually a good fic, but it doesn't do anything for me.
the main problem is that the crosslinking if loosing integrity.
I mean most of times the authors I know host their stories and little in the way of more.
I kinda miss the good old shrines and circles.

It is a problem, certainly. It's becoming increasingly difficult to find older fics that aren't on FF.net or mediaminer, precisely because those fics are old, and the authours are no longer active or maintaining their sites.
It also doesn't help that people are becoming 'used' to having something like FF.net as a repository. I mean, I only found it maybe a year after I got into reading fics, and I find that now I'm 'loosing my touch' when I need to search for a fic that isn't on FF.net, although it doesn't help that many of the sites that I would use are no longer active.
As for my classic; Hearts Healing, if for nothing more than to see Ryoko beat the Amazons, who truely are not nice people.
After careful study of Number One's biographic work My Ceaseless Quest to Conquer Earth and Destroy its Puny Inhabitants, we have come to the conclusion that the Ghast Empire may well be up to something rum.

Well, the Ranko in Genma's Daughter might not be entirely in-character, but the Ranma in the sequel, Equal Halves, is. That is a classic Takahashi comedy of the meeting between Genma's daughter and Nodoka's son. A wish granting rock, a delusion proven right, messages from the kami lost in the mail . . . pure fun!
It's even pretty good if read on its own. If you'd like to skip reading Genma's Daughter, you can find a more than thorough synopsis on Ranma-chan and Ranko Shrine. Then you can jump right into Equal Halves.

Quantum Destinies is definitely a classic, and one that is ambitious as all get-out. Too bad it bogged down and hasn't been added to in years.
On that note, I nominate DB Sommer's Quantum Destinies officially authorized side stories. Many of them are arguably better than the original main sequence story.

On a personal note, I'm rather gratified that so many of the stories listed so far are from my web site, the Lost Library. Nice to know that I'm doing something right! :D

Take the premise and everything follows logically. Plus it and the sequels are very well written.

Not to mention Ranma's Honor, Ranko's Honor, Nabiki's Honor, and Kikuko.
Not only well written, but interesting variations on a theme.
Also, I'm defining 'classics' as something worth rereading several times, rather than just stories that changed the way people thought about writing ideas or crossovers.

Mentioning Cloud Dream, my favorite fic by him(?) is actually that "Where I Come From" story (I think it's called). I love convoluted trime travel parodoxes...
(I remember another similar one, but it was much worse...)

I still can't believe that noone seems to have read the Shaddow Chronicles.

I've actually read through all of "The Shadow Chronicles"
I keep hoping he'll manage to update faster, but at least he does update, unlike most of the other "classic" authors.

Possibly because most people forgot about it. Hell, that story got me into FanFiction and I forgot about it.

Damn, I didn't even know about most of those. Hmmm, "Kind Angel's Thesis" and "Dragon Lady of Macross" just sound interesting.
I think I've read most of the stuff in Gaijin's Realm once before. Need to visit there again.

I have an idea. Possibly cause most readers don't know about it?
Chirishman wrote:Ill Met by Starlight

A very creepy fic. Horror classic. Dunno why I forgot it.
Chirishman wrote:Yagami 1/2

I think I've read that one, was it the one where Iori of KOF was Ranma's Dad?
Chirishman wrote:(and the GD/Ranma fics c'mon there has to be at least one other GD fan in here)

Hmmm, I liked Bloody Paintbrush's "Neko Can't"
There was something else too, but I cannot for the life of me recall it's name or base-plot.
