The election system
The biggest issue is really that it is a system designed for the 18th century, with various more or less good or bad additions slapped on ever since. Calling it obsolete is just the beginning. Especially when you then look at how much shenanigans are used to tilt it.
Election district borders remaking for one or the other party´s preference, the insane lengths some places sometimes go to to keep people from registering(seriously, this is just so beyond bad that it´s tragic), ballot boxes disappearing or messed with is a frequent event, electronic voting is magnitudes worse and somehow everyone just ignores that the people responsible for most of those machines are connected to one party, just because they changed the name of the company...
And on and on...

The possibility for every idiot to legally buy a gun
The really absurd part about this, is that there´s so many exploits and legal holes, that even if it really would NOT be legal, it´s still perfectly realistic for most people to "legally" buy firearms. As long as you have money or the right contacts, making it "legal" is rarely a problem.

The contrast between violence and sex. There's no problem with showing the most violent shit on TV, but even just showing a nipple, even less a nude boob is scandalous. Are the American really that insecure in their own sexuality.
