Sounds like I’m lucky. All I have on that site is a few throwaway folders I set up during the Eyjafjallajökull eruption while the webcam servers were overloaded and foreign visitors had problems getting images.
I go walking. My mind goes wandering.

Thanks for trying.

I got an e-mail today from PB saying I was using too much bandwidth - I didn't think that many people were viewing my images.

PB in the past was known to
1) Limit your storage space.
2) Display a similar picture once you exceeded your bandwidth per month.

Both were verifyable if you logged into Photobucket, so you could see how close you were skirting to using up your storage and bandwidth. Both very understandable measures.

They just changed point 2 to exceed bandwidth beyond 0 kByte, and won't change that till you cough up 400 dollars.

Even were I to agree to the concept of Photobucket wanting money for providing 3rd party hotlinking, the problem though becomes as I see it is that going to the photobucket site itself and navigating through it to get to a image in an account to view directly is not the same as 3rd party hotlinking.

As I said, I have no account there, so it does not overly affect me... but for those that do, this is like holding their images hostage.

Already pulled my images. My account still exists, but I'm seriously contemplating killing it off myself to just make a point to PB.

Hmm... And I just received this e-mail now. With a subject of: 'Some features on your account will be disabled.'

Too little, too late, with a deal that stinks:

WE NOTICED THAT YOU HAVE BEEN USING

PHOTOBUCKET FOR 3RD PARTY HOSTING*

Our Terms of Service does not allow 3rd party hosting with your current account level.

UPGRADE NOW

Photobucket defines 3rd party hosting as the action of embedding an image or photo onto another website. For example, using the <img> tag to embed or display a JPEG image from your Photobucket account on another website such as a forum, Etsy, eBay auction listings, a blog, etc. is definitively 3rd party hosting.

Why Photobucket?

Photobucket is the global destination for linking and 3rd party hosting. In Photobucket's 14-year history, the Company amassed over 100 million registered users, over 15 billion images stored, 2 million daily uploads and 10 billion photos accessed monthly.

Easy to Use – Upload a photo from any device and copy the embed code with one click to host a photo with no development or technical knowledge required

Competitive, fixed pricing Offers the only unlimited 3rd party hosting plan (Commercial and Personal Use)

Are my pictures still safe?

Yes! All your photos are still available by logging into your Photobucket Account. Photobucket has only restricted the ability to view your photos on 3rd party sites.

Can I download my Photos?

Absolutely, at any time. It is an easy four step process:
Step 1. Login to your Photobucket Account
Step 2. Navigate to your library page
Step 3. View a photo and click the download button
Step 4. The picture will be saved to your computer

I haven't been able to see images on Photobucket for quite a number of years, so... *Shrugs*

After following the link you need to right-click, "View image" then F5 . Then it shows.
