Why Do I Never Hear About These Things?

I found out earlier this evening that ex-voice actress Christine Cavanaugh died late last year after retiring from voice acting more than a decade prior. Voiced Darkwing Duck's Gosalyn and Dexter's Laboratory's title character, amongst others (and in retrospect, they did sound a lot alike).

I'm serious. Why do I never hear about these sorts of things until well after they've taken place? Am I seriously that inattentive to what goes on?

For some things, if it's not person of particular popularity, you have to be in the habit of looking for them regularly in order to catch them.
