Misreading happens…

I spotted a headline from a Swedish newspaper on Facebook. I first read the word ’polisavspärrning’ (police blockade) as ’polisavspårning’ (police derailment). Ouch.

Coulda been weirder. I was once reading the “Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” and read ‘bloody loonies’ as ‘bloonies’. Well, at least I got a new word out of it.
