Can’t remember if I have linked to this live version before. Aside: She does not count in in Japanese.

I totally did not make that connection before. But now that you did... *lol*
Although the girl in the vid being his then 12 year old daughter, really doesn't fit much with Gaara. :P

There was a spot where he totally reminded me of Mr. “Sleepless in Suna”.

It’s not that often one hears bagpipes and organ pipes together. But organist David Bell and the Pipes and Drums of the First Batallion of the Scots Guards did that some fifty-odd years ago.

And a good time was had by all but one, and he is probably the one hammering the ‘dislike’ counter.

Ah yes, the jernbane(railroad) galop, i don't know how many times i've heard it by now. Always liked it.
It's used for background music on a TV game show(På spåret(/On track?)) here that has been running most of the years since 1987, so, MANY times.

Looks like this:

The aim is to figure out what the destination is based on the clues given and the highspeed travel video shown, the longer it takes the less points they get.
When i checked for a youtube video, it was kinda funny that that one was the first i found, because it has THIS town as its starting point, even following the route i go home from downtown for the first 10 seconds.

I opine “On Track” is an accurate enough translation.

Anyway, the local rockfest, Eistnaflug, is on this week. IIRC, it starts tomorrow, meaning that the first rock’n’roll angels should be here already to bring that hard rock hallelujah. That includes the Faeroese group Týr.

It’s the tale of the Scotsman George Sinclair, his fellow Scots and the Battle of Kringen.

Anyway, it is a nice little bit of older-style J-pop.

Quite a grab bag this time.

This musician, Dr. Gunni, has been blogging and mouthing off at this and that for quite a while. His old pages:
http://this.is/drgunni/gerast.html

He has also posted vinyl rips, samplers and who-knows-what as MP3s on his old site. Might as well point you at it in case you find something you like.

Direct access to the collection:
http://this.is/drgunni/mp3/?C=M;O=D

A few foreign tunes with Icelandic lyrics:

http://this.is/drgunni/mp3/Yr%20-%20Kaninan.mp3

http://this.is/drgunni/mp3/Samsteypan%2 ... 20jord.mp3
http://this.is/drgunni/mp3/Bjork%20-%20 ... %20hol.mp3

These are just some I happen to like:
http://this.is/drgunni/mp3/Hvanndalsbra ... rdalag.mp3
http://this.is/drgunni/mp3/Apparat%20-% ... -Frakt.mp3
http://this.is/drgunni/mp3/IKEASATAN-So ... Planet.mp3
http://this.is/drgunni/mp3/Baraflokkuri ... 0comin.mp3
http://this.is/drgunni/mp3/Thu%20og%20e ... isandi.mp3
http://this.is/drgunni/mp3/Johnny%20and ... 20rock.mp3

Some of the Youtube links on his pages are still good. I got the Shonen Knife link above from there.
