I'd say it was just you, but I fear that I'd be wrong in this situation.

Alternatively, it could've just been the characters we specifically saw that were acting the way they were, but then what individual in their right mind(s) would behave like that? (Bear in mind I have not actually seen the episode.)

We've got a yak who threatens war when things don't go his way, and then we've got a former U.S. President (Rutherford Hayes) who helped oversee the cleanup following the Civil War. Interesting...

Yaks from Yakyakistan, mind you. And they act violently, literally, and go so far as to be intent on war because they're highly sensitive to perceived offenses.

Aside from Touhou, anyway. With that, you provided a convincing argument that the games were easier than they looked and provided footage of IN as proof. I'd hardly call that arm's length tactics.

That's ten-foot-poll tactics, yeah. I'm not drawing you in to me, I'm pushing you away toward something else. Otherwise, I still have Touhou at arm's length, in relation to myself. That might change if I ever manage to get a controller that would allow me to move more accurately.

I used this wallpaper on the PS3 for a time.

I wonder when the sixth season will start airing. It's been good so far, in that it hasn't contradicted anything I've done in my fan-fic yet, but I still worry. ;/

Simple, my dear not-Watson; especially if we make a distinction between comic and manga, in that we assume that comics are of domestic origin and manga foreign.

1: Comics exist = manga must exist. False.

2: Comics exist = Fluttershy must read them and/or manga. False.

3: Spike reads comics = Fluttershy must read comics and/or manga. False.

4: Fluttershy doodles pictures of ponies with characteristics that people beyond the fourth wall recognize = they must be from a comic/manga in their universe. False.

5: Discord and Pinkie Pie can defy the rules of the universe and logic = Fluttershy must have learned about the characters from them -- in some fashion or another -- and had been impacted enough to both remember and call them up for use rather than her doodles being drawn up from her own imagination. False.

Anyway, if it's justification for a fan-fiction crossover you're looking for, or their potential to exist in the same universe whether they hail from a different one or not, you really don't need to look any further than Discord or Pinkie Pie. (Heck, Pinkie Pie not only defies physics, and breaks the fourth wall, but what she should be restricted to doing as an Earth pony as well. She could just reach "off-screen" and pull out something/someone from another universe, if she wanted to.) Beyond that, we should see this as it is, rather than assume it's an official confirmation of their existence in the MLP:FIM universe (whether fictional or non-fictional): popular anime/manga references for the audience of the show.

I don't really agree with it, since it doesn't take much beyond being a casual watcher to know some of the characters in the Brony section. Still, the one on the top right is unfamiliar to me, so it's not like I have anything to worry about anyway.
