I stumbled upon something interesting: Yes, it's legit... and not even at max speed (it was slowed down).

Don't hold me responsible if something happens to your eyes or brain.

...I didn't think surviving that barrage was even possible.

It's not supposed to be, at normal speed. It's only possible if the attack is slowed down like that. (Since it's by frame rate, I'm not sure if that's fifty percent of its normal speed or lower.)

Thought I'd post an old picture here for a change of pace. This has been a longtime favorite of mine.

What are you doing sleeping under that kotatsu, CRB? It's not healthy!

Aw, c'mon! It's cold outside! -_-

And along the lines of colds, I was kept home from work today with a case of the flu (at least I think it's the flu). I had the chance to delve into Hopeless Masquerade again, and I'll tell you now---clearing that game with Koishi was a bit of a pain.

...Though not as much of a pain as trying to beat LoLK. Though on the plus side, I was able to beat Easy Mode with Reisen at last (Pointdevice). Some of Doremy and Clownpiece's cards I still have a horrendously difficult time clearing, to say nothing of Junko's; that last attack was down to the wire.

Found a rearrangement of Patchouli's theme that I kinda like.

And speaking of Patchouli, another one of those random fanfic ideas I've been having recently has her ending up in Canterlot, pre-Season 1 of MLP: FiM. No clue as to the plot or anything, so it'll likely end up in deep storage like the others.

Sounds like something Patchouli would do. :P

I can see how Patchouli and Twilight Sparkle might get along, though, if Celestia offered a place for her library.

Having Patchouli and Twilight meet up that early in the timeline would derail pretty much everything that takes place canonically, barring perhaps the season openers and finales. I kind of have an aversion to canon derailment.

...

...

...

Energy level permitting, I'll try to figure something out.

Game #16, Hidden Star in Four Seasons, has been announced. The demo will be released next month, and the full version in August.

Not much is known so far, though Aya and Cirno---referred to as "Tanned Cirno" for whatever reason---are supposed to be playable alongside the usual stand-bys. To quote from the game's article at the Touhou Wiki, ZUN "noted that he is aiming for a 'light and refreshing feeling' and would like to 'return to [his] roots with something that simply aims to make you feel good to play'.

I wonder if, by "roots," he means the PC-98 era.

Aya and Cirno are interesting choices, but at least Cirno seems relevant, since she's an out-of-season fairy.

Makes sense to me. The idea I got from his comments was that he wasn't going to have any special "gimmicks" in it compared to his more recent games (example: the "trance" mode from Ten Desires).

I like the fact that Cirno's playable. The thought of her being able to take on those in the 6th-stage tier appeals to me.

Two things.

#1: If this version of our resident ice fairy is "Tanned Cirno", would that make her default appearance "Vanilla Ice"?

#2: I found this animation of a fight between Frisk (plus Chara) and Sakuya that was posted back in March. Not sure how faithful it really is to the source material, but at the least it was fun to watch.

Welp, the full version of the sixteenth game is out, and it looks neat. There's some nice tunes, too.

There's only one thing, though... I could have sworn that I watched an extra stage video where Reimu faced off against a god that was there to sort out the mess with the seasons, who uses the four elements as a basis for her attacks, and mentioned having to go through her bodyguard first to reach her. Now all I see is the door lady. ;/

:)

Figured I'd pass this along: "Nitori creates a game". Far as I can tell, the video's supposed to promote some kind of fan-made microgame thing similar to WarioWare.
