You know, (The Legend of) Sleepy Hollow (either the Disney cartoon or the Tim Burton movie, for example), with the headless horseman.

Re: Touhou Project

So I finally had enough time and space to do a run of LoLK this evening. I'd been hoping to finish with it before midnight, but ultimately I was never able to finish it at all.

Several reasons. #1, there's no shame on playing Easy Mode, but Doremy was bent on providing it. She has several cards where I've yet to figure out a safe way of avoiding them, and I needed to rely on Reisen's bomb just to get past. #2, I ran out of bombs well before I got to my stopping point, and I discovered that dying in Pointdevice Mode does not restore the bomb counter.

And #3: Come Stage Five, my patience with the game came to a temporary halt thanks to a certain fairy-sized roadblock. To quote AFV's original theme: America, America, this is you. :x

Have you only tried it with Reisen? Maybe taking another approach might produce a eureka moment.

Also, I looked for a video of Clownpiece that's combined by Guile's theme, and I'm surprised that it doesn't exist. The Internet has failed me. :O

Reisen's the only one I've dared to try the game with, yes. I don't have a snowball's chance in the desert on Legacy, and I'm not familiar enough with the patterns to survive Doremy (let alone Clownpiece) without using my bombs. As I've said before, Poindexter---I mean, Pointdevice Mode doesn't restore my Bombs on Death, and Reisen's bomb at least gives me a few extra hits to work with.

If I run out with any character, quitting's the only thing that'll let me escape that nightmare before my nerves become completely shot. (Surprisingly, the Stage Four boss wasn't as bad.)

Not that I know much about Street Fighter, but I sorta wonder how Clownpiece would look using Guile's moveset. :?

Took me four and a half years of off-and-on playing, but I was finally able to beat Fairy Wars on Normal.

...Sometimes I can't tell whether I like or hate the Three Fairies of Light. :|

Aw, but they're cute!

But, hey, normal's a nice accomplishment. All you need is easy difficulty to open the extra stage. I haven't even done that yet 'cause I've yet to get a new controller. I've been kind of missing playing these games. :(

Easy difficulty, and I think you have to clear all six paths, too. I vaguely remember it not letting me access the extra stage until then.

At some point I'll try to post footage of it (actual footage, not just second-hand stuff), but that's going to have to wait a little while.

Words of wisdom: if an oni asks if she can play baseball, just say 'no'.

Nah; let's not be discriminatory, now. I think the real issue to avoid is telling them to hit the ball as hard as they can.

True, that.

...Now I'm beginning to wonder just how a baseball game in Gensokyo would look, as opposed to soccer.

The pitcher throws a curtain of baseballs at the batter, which they have to dodge from within their box. Among them is a baseball of a different color, signifying that it is the one that must be hit with the bat. If the batter is struck with any balls or misses their target ball three times, they're out. Upon successfully hitting the target ball, the chosen bat activates its spell card and sends a hail of baseballs back at the defensive team. If any of the defensive team are struck with the balls, they're no longer allowed to handle the target ball in any way. Runners on bases can receive an "out" if they're struck by the batter's spell card. Beyond that, I guess the game plays the same as usual? :P
