"better than none at all relying on lucking out and finding potions inside I say" Ethan says as he wonders when we'll be sent in.

"Rum? No, no, too early for that. But a good meal and some water in your tummies is a good idea. We don't have the slightest clue what we're going to run into. Prep your spells, your weapons, and your wits while we wait ... and, try not to be too ... put off as 'they' arrive."

What he meant by that?

Well it wouldn't come to light for some time ... until.

It began with loud, barely synchronized clanking. Rumbling its way down the main entrance, marching all single file. Armored in dark, gleaming metal, and looking all the world like a frightful army of bunnies.

BUNNIES?!

Indeed, a mass of barely four foot creatures, with large ears and furry faces peeking out from helmets came rumbling down the hallway. Muttering as they came.

"Ku ... ku ... ku" Going in lockstep with their motions.

The dwarf groaned and clapped a hand over his face with a sigh, "Why is 'she' so eccentric ... why dear Lumaniiah? Why?"

Behind this rumbling bunch of metal and fur, a small form on little batwings was floating right behind.

The moogle watched with a self satisfied smirk on her face as the group broke step and formed a line of some ten creatures. Spears clapping the ground and resting on shoulders in salute.

"Kupo! ... The Verminthrax Maximus Protectorum Army has arrived, have no fear citizens!"

Coming to hover before the dwarf, she bows, as it awaiting applause.

"Maxi ... didn't I tell you NOT to bring the tinker toys?" Spoke the dwarf in a barely contained growl.

The floating creature pouts, "But Glori I worked out all the bugs ... almost. There's a less then ten percent chance they'll go boom now!"

Blinking at the rather odd looking troupe of... things accompanying the moogle, Kitoria silently listened in to the conversation. It seemed that the moogle and dwarf knew each other but as to what exactly was going on; she had no clue. Deciding to sit this conversation out for a while, she just stood there with her ears oriented towards the two short beings.

Nadya's ear perks at the mention of explosions, swiveling towards the moogle while she dusts her hands on her robe, cleaning fragments of the snackbar away.

Axi blinks at the hord of bunny's, then looks into the jug of tea giving it a good inspection.. She could have sworn she didn't use any of her *fun* herbs in brewing this..

"Oh ho! This is no simple army of bunnies! These are the latest in magicka infused, high density micro carbon-fiber muscled, state of the art electronic relay network ... " She begins to get lost rambling in all the impressive electronic doodads and widgets that make up her little squad of minions ... robots .. whatever they are.

With a sigh, the dwarf shakes his head. "I wanted a high power laser drill so we could sink holes for the explosives and open the under-tunnel ... not a mob of walking time bombs ... I swear sometimes I wonder which part of your brain migrated into your pompom ... "

He grouses, while the moogle takes no note and continues to espouse the virtues of her technology. She's a chatty ... fast paced speech style of person. Not slowing in the slightest.

“Mr. Goldbeard…” Kitoria hesitantly spoke up to the shorter man who matched his family name. “I’ve got a few… concerns I’m hoping you can answer. First off is, will the lack of these ‘laser drills’ delay our purposed start time greatly? If it does, I might go looking for a few extra supplies before we embark.”

Turning her head and gaze towards the still rambling moogle, she gestured and further asked, “Secondly, who is she, exactly? Is she a part of the research team or the escort team? I’m leaning towards ‘research’ but you never know.”

“Finally… what about those things?” The blonde haired mithra woman inquired, waving a hand towards the gearbox lupine soldiers. “Are they going in there with us? I mean, last thing I’ve heard about clockwork soldiers was a story about them turning on each other and ripping each other to shreds. I’m not so sure I want to be anywhere near that, especially since you mentioned them exploding…”

Looking over her shoulder to the other three known members of the ‘escort team’ she asked, “What do you guys think? I’m not overreacting, am I?”

Glancing from his partner to the small mechanical soldiers, Xavier nervously asked, “They’re not going to shoot me, are they?” He was obviously worried, his ears folded back and cowering Kitoria’s shoulder furthest from the clanking bunny things.

Re: Final Fantasy: Rise of Heroes

Postby Blair » Sun Feb 09, 2014 2:29 pm

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>http://kathadan.prophpbb.com/topic6.html<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

No one had noticed her arrival.

It was understandable.

Having been standing in the crowds of the seemingly touristy sort and not with those of the first exploration team, Blair had been granted the chance to observe the group and her new 'teammates'. It was a curious bunch, almost miss matched and looked to already to be falling apart before they've even begun.

However, who was she to criticize how the team members were picked?

Who was she to say that this rag-tag group wouldn't be successful?

Besides....she needed inside this place. This temple that had been unbeknownst to even the very citizens who had been working here for so long. To think such a huge and marvelous wonder had been under their noses this whole time. The mere thought brought a grin to the Creimire's face. As did the curious fact that no one could get through the front door and that the plan was to dig under it.

The time mage made a good suggestion, which had easily been shot down by the foreman. And the fallowed up questions from the others proved that at least this group was also curious enough and willing to find a way inside. Though she did find interesting that none thought of the idea that perhaps there was a secret puzzle--a trap-- which had been set off and forced the locking of the doors upon apparent intrusion or even discovery of them, and all that needed to be done was a thorough look over to disengage the lock or trap.

Oh how she enjoyed puzzles.

Her grin curled upwards into a smirk.

But who was she to suggest such a thing?

She hadn't even introduced herself to the group-- heck-- they hadn't even noticed her at all.

Not yet.

For who would know to look for her? None were pre-informed that this Blair who was on the foreman's mental list of team members would be a Creimire.

Her long ears twitched and turned to the sudden arrival of the secondary group who would be accompanying the exploration team, a moogle and a gang of robot rabbits.

Most amusing.

With nearly everyone here, and the apparent un-amused look upon the foreman's face, it was time to introduce herself be become apart of this team.

" Ah! forgive my untimely arrival! I had gotten distracted long the way of meeting you all," not necessarily a lie, she had indeed become distracted by the mystery of the locked doors, and then the curiousness of the unusual assortment of members of the exploration team, " The name is Aidan Blair, you all may just call me Blair. I am apart of this first exploration team into this unknown and most curious of temples. I look forward to working with you all in attaining our goals."

She offered a warm smile upon her face, her green beady eyes hidden beneath the brim of her hat. A friendly tone in her voice offered hopeful assurance that she would not prove to be a trouble maker among the group, but one who may easily get along with others--as long as others were kind in return. She cross a single arm over her midsection and gave a deep bow from the waist, before standing upright again.

She was of grey skin, yet young of body. For those who were familiar to Creimire physiology, she could not be any older then mid twenties, and the lack of joint stiffness int he way she walked and moved, prove she was one who moved around and exercised a lot. The finely tailored leather attire she wore would give off the fact she was not of a heavy class--no great sword wielding mousey here-- but was more likely of one of the expertise classes, with the pair of daggers sheathed at her hips, she was perhaps a stealth type? And for those who could sense the mists, or magical energy, around this Creimire, would notice the lack of it about her. Coming to the conclusion she was no magic type.

So what was she?

Her kind smile slowly shifted into an amused grin.

Her head turned in the direction of the foreman, Mr. Goldbeard, as if looking for someone to back up her claim as apart of this group.
