Without looking up, the geek pulls an entire schoolbag out of stuffspace with well-practiced ease and hands it to the newcomer who is left standing there, all blink-blink-wtf-just-happened.

Here is an idea for a manga plot:

A guy inherits a small block of flats and rebuilds the ground floor as a set of offices. He then rents out combinations of office and living space to companies. Further situations depend on writer.

One vignette set in this building:

Company manager asks Landlord if he will perform dress code checks.

Landlord responds: "Every time I go out shopping, I have so many women dressed as office ladies asking me for dress code checks that I'm pretty sure that it means something else around here."
