SI that is affinanced to Ranma, not interested in marriage

There was also a good Ranma story where a male SI winds up stuck in a female body and taken in by a shrine or monastery. She winds up engaged to Ranma kinda like Ukyo, but has an escape clause if she can keep Ranma from getting hitched until they are 18. "She" is quite open about this, and that she isn't really interested in the marriage but is honor and legally bound to go through the motions until "she"'s 18 and can void the contract since "she" never signed it. "She" won't interfere with romancing Ranma, but will sabotage any attempts to wed Ranma until "she" can honorably escape the arranged marriage contract.
In the end, Ranma surprises "her" by choosing "her" to be the girl he wants to marry, and she turns him down, saying she's a lesbian and thinks of him as a guy, is repulsed by the idea of sex with a guy, and refuses to ask him to lock the curse for her sake.

Also, I believe that the SI went about training "herself" in the various techniques whose training methods were detailed in the story, then giving them different names. I know one was an adaptation of the Katchu Tenshin Amaguriken done with pulling rice out of a pot. I think the Moko Takabisha, breaking point, and the Hiryu Shoten Ha were also learned. Cologne witnessed the Amaguriken being used and was upset, even when told the training method was different but gave the same results, ala Ranma and the piranhas.

Now if only I can remember the title, but nothing's jumping out at me. I _know_ it is in my bookmark file, but I just have the link and the title, since it is so old.

Well... that specific one does not really ring any bells with me.

If you do have a name, or author, or old link, go ahead and give it, we might be able to find it that way.

Only 2 sort of Self inserts come to mind as even partially similar.

C Rose made a female character that came from another universe that actually became friends with Ranma.

In a AA thread, the gods grew tired of Ranma's fiancées and took advantage of a wish he made to give him more... the sefl inserts in this case are from another universe, most of the females from Neon Genesis. Oddly, Maya Ibuki was the first to realize the terms for their survival as Ranma's fiancées did not require they remain that, merely require a connection to him.

I'm familiar with CRose's stories, and I know Strange Days was not the fic in question. It's not the Addventure one either, and I rarely read those as I find them hard to navigate, which is not really the site's fault, just the nature of the beast given the open sandbox round robin approach.

Sorry... thought was clear, I never thought those two were the story, merely somewhat along the same lines... of a SI or crossover character specifically wanting a relationship with Ranma, but not as a fiancé...

I've probably only ever read two or three self-insert stories, but this one sounds familiar. I've been wracking my brain, word-searching Rakhal's list, and poked around here, but nothing turned up positive. The only thing that I can suggest is comparing the list of stories that can be found in that link to what you have bookmarked. If you have some idea of the story's length (chapter amount and/or word count), date of publication, and whether it's spam, crossover or whatnot, you can eliminate a number of stories on that list so you don't have to check them all. (Well, this will work if your browser's bookmark thing has a search feature, at any rate.) Hopefully, though, the story you're looking for is listed there in the first place.

I found it. For the heck of it last night before going to bed I ran a search on all the downloaded Ranma fics on my hard drive for "I'm a lesbian" and just "lesbian".

I'm glad that I downloaded all of Studio Asynjor back when I was in community college when I was looking for good fics in .txt format (the "save as text" feature of Netscape Communicator often FUBARed the formatting or put too much whitespace when uploaded to my calculator, and calibre didn't exist yet. Note the browser I mentioned as this was close to fifteen years ago) to upload to my TI-89 to read when I had time to kill between classes.
