I mean has it been mention as spiritual energies and physical energies. However,

In the Naurto world we now know Chakra was actually an ability humanity gained because of a piece of the Ten Tail beast and that is why the Ten Tail beast went on a rampage to get back every single once of it's chakra back. With that being the case, could it really say they are using ki and not just a DNA ability gained from the Ten-Tailed beast? Would Ranma ki actually be different or Goku ki? Yes I am thinking of making another cross Ranma/Naruto.

No. Chakra can do everything ki can, but not the other way around.

If you mean ki from Ranma, well the descriptions are very different as well.
Some fanfics use the idea that ki is one half of chakra. I don´t agree but they make some points.

AFAIR, Maito gai used a powerful Ki attack once, thus foiling his enemy's expectations because they were unprepared to counter it.
