The thing is, all genetic tests would show Ranma as human, so people would assume magic or alien tech, not mutant, unless they see him associate with mutants. And so far, it seems all Ki users in the Marvel universe who can do stuff like Ranma are not 100% human, or have some kind of magical help. Ranma has a tingle of magic due to his curse, so people could assume he is a Ki user that has some magical help.

Magic will be come up negative with Dr. Strange and MAgic. Alien tech come up negative with Reed Richards tests along with Hank McCoy. This is the marvel universe but the X-men side

My mistake, it was Dr. Fate, not Dr. Strange, though Ranma*had* described him as strange... thus my mixup.
