It use to be allowed and you can find user names from before it changed that still use the character. But because it was an easy way to weed out allot of Spam bots the character got restricted from new user titles. Maybe you could ask one of the moderators if its possible to edit it in.

Spamville is basically the place to goof off, so if you've got chatter, toss it that way. I know Froggie's here already (as Frog), Techlology isn't yet and Deviatesfish doesn't seem to have recieved his registration response yet.

As I mentioned in the VM, moderators don't have namechange authority. Admins do, but we're not all techies over here, and apparently we're disallowed the hyphens too. We're working on it. ^^;

Spok is right. That character was disallowed because it was abused by spammers to get otherwise banned words through registration before I had to give up and just process manually.

I don't even remember how I banned it. I'll have to look and see.

Edit: Okay, I've set the board to allow username changes and to allow letters, numbers, and spacers (+, -, and _).
