Sadly.. My mom. She spent that kind of cash on a hoax not too long ago claiming to have all the series of a multi season thing. There are people who fall for these unfortunately.

Well, I'm pretty sure that this isn't a hoax. I just don't see why it'd be that expensive, even if the discontinued product happened to be the last one in stock. Maybe I'm just that poor to see that price as being that way.

I've seen worse. For example Excel Saga Volume 8 of the manga (just one volume) was on Amazon market place for 999.99 dollars + shipping for it used. It's current cheapest asking price used is $141.55 + shipping. The sad thing is I really want this volume but can not afford anything near that price. You can easily get all the other volumes combined for less than the asking price for that volume.
