Help - Do you recognize this figurine?

I picked this figure up the other day at a local anime store and was wondering who the character is and what anime, manga or game she was from.
The staff at the store were unable to help and the bag she was in ( she'd been re-packaged by someone in the shop) simply said ?Girl Figure".
I'm hoping someone here might be able to shed a light on this mysterious young lady in the boy's school uniform.

Boy's uniform with chest restrained by bandages... I know I've seen that character, somewhere. Maybe it will come to me later...

I think the hair tie and the shoes will end up being the best clues. If it wasn't for the Boys school Uniform and hair ribbon I'd almost say she resembled Keichi's older sister in Ah my goddess. But well those things seem off and I never saw her in color not having watched the series.

The style reminds me of Azumanga Daioh.

She is Kagura from Azumanga Daioh
A quick look on E-Bay found this pic:
What I have seems to be a poorly painted version ( cheap knock off?)

Yeah, I immediately thought about Kagura too, but the imitation doesn't really look all that much like her; the hair especially.

I'd forgotten about Kagura since I haven't seen the series in a while, even though it reminded me of Azumanga... (I really should get my box set back, since I've let someone borrow it for almost two years, now. <_<; )

The poor painting on the eyes and hair color definitely threw me off the track. Might have helped if the painted more than the ribbon trailing down her back red.
