In regards to Fry's, I'm not sure... sometimes, I think it's a Western US-only store, but now and then, I run into people who swear they've seen it elsewhere. ^_^;
The one I've been to, in Sacramento, is great.

Best Buy, I guess, is second... but they'd be better, in my opinion, if they'd AT LEAST have ANY of the DVDs or video games I'm looking for when I happen to be in the stores. :roll:

Fry's likes Big cities. There hasn't even been a proposal to set one up in Nevada yet as far as I know. Although I may be mistaken I don't know if they made plans for one in Vegas or not. Even though Sacramento heck even SanFran is closer to here than there.

The Fry's stores do seem to tend to be big, so I don't know how well they'd fare in a smaller town or city... including the one in which I live. Sure, it'd be nice, but I don't think it's going to happen. :)

That's odd with few exceptions I can always find the DVD's I'm looking for at my best buy. I tend to shop elsewhere for games.

I’ve walked into a Circuit City once and then walked back out again without buying anything after not seeing a great selection of anime.

It's just something weird that's always happened to me (maybe my parents, but I'm not sure), that's all. :) I'll come across interesting DVDs/sets or games there all the time and buy them, but if I'm actually looking for a DVD/set or game... I won't find it at either of the Best Buys near me.
Fry's, for me, has a better chance of having what I'm looking for. Suncoast might have been even more likely, but they closed down several of their stores, including the one near me. -_-

Suncoast was only kept open here because Sam Goody in the same mall had been shut down. Different branches of the same media retail company.

I liked circuit city, especially for their sales. Some thought of them as overpriced, but their product selection was strong.
Personally though, I think they did badly in choosing locations for stores and expanding. If you're going to set up a new store, do it in a place where you'll have a good chance of success (high middle class makes sense). In addition, I feel like they would have done better maintaining smaller stores. Those huge stores were not the way to go.
Love is a battlefield. So is Sailor Moon. When Josh finishes Gunslinger Moon, then the battlefield will be bloody too.

And thus, they could've ended up calling themselves "Circuit Towns" or "Circuit Villages"...nah, just kidding.
