AMV's, ideas, concepts, and production!

AMV, an acronym for Anime Music Videos.
Surely, you already knew this, and I'm sure there's a plenty of AMV's you've found that are just greeeeeat!
Then there's the other 90% of AMV's on www.YouTube.com

Now, if you're like me, you've probably heard a song, and then mulled it over in your head and though to yourself: "Hmm, that would make a pretty good AMV with such'n'such anime"
You do, do that too right? I'm not the only oddball here right? Right?!

*ahem*...

Anywho, here's a thread that this user seems to think might be interesting for a lark, to post the songs and scenes from anime's that would make AWESOME AMV's.
And maybe, just maybe there's somebody out there technically minded enough, with time to spare, that'll assist in production or tips, in converting our beloved animes into AMV's.

...may the world someday forgive us in what we are about to do...



My personal picks would have to be:

Daimakaicho Hild and Keiichi Morisato set to the music, Devil Woman Several scenes from the anime where Hild was involved mesh well with the words of the song

Keiichi singing about Belldandy with "Every little thing she does is magic! setting the scenes with just her smiling and the odd little things she's done in Nekomi that involved power. Not the big fighting scenes as are so common. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s5W2Vr6HU7s

Urd, theres so many scens of Urd in the anime, that "Abracadabra" would be great.

Ranma Saotome set to "Kodachrome" with the various scenes of Ranma with camera's and photos. Maybe throwing in Gosenkugi, the MOST under appreciated character EVER!

Lastly, this idea for an AMV hails from my very own fanfiction!
And has been pushed along by SpokAvriel if memory serves... A Sailor Pluto/Setsuna Meioh AMV set to "THE TIME WARP!"
There's enough scenes in the Black Moon family arc that could pull this one off.

Now, I've tried at several points to attempt AMV's, but I'm too much of a perfectionist, and I don't like the subs in the videos. One of these days I might share an unfishied amv or two...

Now as to you dear fellow fanfiction aficionados, what do you think of this line of thought?

Those songs would be good as AMVs

However, the links you've given all say "We are sorry, this video is no longer available" except for the Stevie Wonder song.

Nightwish's "Nemo" to the fight between Naruto and Neji

"Man of Sorrow" from Iron Maiden's lead singer to Berserk

Aerosmith's "Dude Looks Like a Lady" to various anime with feminine men

Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" to Neon Genesis Evangelion

Pet Shop Boy's "It's a Sin" to Neon Genisis Evangelion

"Crucify" by Tori Amos to Key the Metal Idol (no, I didn't make it, I just uploaded it onto YouTube)

An AMV about Misato's drinking habits and relationship with Kaji, to the tune of Lonestar's "Tequila Talkin'". Unless somebody wants to rewrite the lyrics so the song is "Yebisu Talkin'".

That amv you reference doesn't really match.

'Tequila Talkin' is about a guy who meets his ex-girlfriend in a bar, and the next morning calls her up and tries to convince her (and quite possibly himself) that the reason he said that he still loves her and wants her back is because he was drunk.

Think of that in the context of Evangelion episode 15, sung by Misato.

Another song that would fit the Misato/Kaji relationship would be Jesse by Carly Simon
