Been watching Gift ~ Eternal Rainbow. It's an odd anime, the art is kind of low budget in some aspects, and the story revolves around a guy and his 'sister' (though not related by blood) and how they fall in love. There's also an unhinged next door neighbor/childhood friend, a witch that gives fake miracles, a pedo teacher, an inventor-type best friend that acts a lot like Taishi from Comic Party... yeah it's an odd one.
Heh, worse of all, the next door neighbor/childhood friend originally struck me as an odd stalker-type character, is now full blown Rena Ryūgū Higurashi-style character.... they even sort of look alike... *shudders*
With only 2 more episodes before the series ends, the evil childhood friend has stolen the memories of the sister, because she wants to be the sister...
Apparently the catalyst for everything going wrong is messed up childhoods and broken promises. And now the main character is going all regret and crazy.... heh. This originally, and I suppose, still is a romance.... but now with only 2 episodes to go, it's all gone to hell ^_^
I feel bad saying the series is so much better now that everything has gone to hell... but in a way it's true. It was just a love story with magic involved (because of the mysterious miraculous power of Gift) but now.....

Started watching the first couple episodes of Madlax, and I'm not sure quite what to think of it....
In some ways, it corresponds to Noir (considered by most to be its predecessor, if anyone didn't know), in others, its completely different....
Slightly OT, does anyone know what the last in the "Girls with Guns" Trilogy that was kind of planned by the producers of both shows was/is/is going to be?

It's not out yet/hasn't been planned yet I don't think. I didn't even know the "Girls with Guns" series was going to be a trilogy. Although Bee Train is almost guaranteed to do the animation, with Victor Entertainment doing music and production work.
Just to keep this on topic...
Just started the second mini-arc of Ghost Hunt. Creepy weird dolls. I hate creepy weird dolls. Ever since Childhood (or whatever that damn movie was called), I've hated dolls....

Whee, it's been a while.

Just (literally) started watching Black Lagoon, with Fate/Stay night coming next.

I'm really interested in seeing Type Moon's other project (and future fic potential)...but I got hooked on Black Lagoon's...oddness.

Just today, I started watching Manabi Straight. Seen one episode so far, but it looked interesting enough for me to give #2 a try. Quirky story set in an all-girls school, in a Japan where the lower birthrate has gone to extremes. The school is half-empty, and the student body doesn't give a hoot about much. New girl arrives and begins to put some enthusiasm back into them.

Type-moon huh? Tsukihime. Nothing beats that.

As for recent anime I've been watching... whoo boy there's a lot. I won't list them all, just the ones that've really caught my eye.

Busou Renkin. I <3 Captain Bravo~!
Master of Epic: The Animation Age. It's like a parody of RO, and other MMOs. Amusing if you're a gamer, and especially if you play MMOs
Byousoku 5cm. Makoto Shinkai. 'nuff said.
Pumpkin Scissors. Go Alice! Go Corporal! The exciting conclusion is just around the corner!
Today In Class 5-2. Extreme sexual innuendos in harmless situations. There is nothing more amusing than that.

Oh and of note. I watched Robotech - The Untold Story.... *shudders*

Madlax tends to be odd episodes (about Madlax) - good, even episodes (about Ms Burton) - boring, up until the point where the two stories start to intertwine. That's around episode 8. I don't believe that Madlax and Noir have anything connection each other, unless Noir has something to do with six words that drive anybody who hears or reads them violently insane unless you have a special gift or have been exposed previously (Elda Taluta, Sarksu Sark, Ark Arksu).

The most recent anime I've been watching is Ghost Hunt. In some ways it's sort of X-files-ish, except that the main investigator acknowledges that events can be caused by the supernatural but doesn't insist that all odd events HAVE to have supernatural causes. Apart from three episodes that are fairly silly (and back-to-back), it's an intriguing, often rather spooky view into occult traditions, usually but not always Oriental.

The most recent anime I have watched is Tide-line blue. I was missing ep 13, and as soon I got it, I made a mini marathon watching all 13 episodes.

Kawaii + Vampire = Tsukuyomi Moon Phase (I hate the intro!)
Kawaii + Gore = Elfen Lied
Ne volnuites, Aeria Gloris

They're by the same company :P

Probably meant feel more than plot.
